Writing cob.soy (with or without the dot) on the sharty gets you auto-'nished for 3 minutes, or permanently as part of Rule 3 if the joons feel like it.
To link this article without getting auto-'nished, use: https://soyjakwiki.org/Cabs

cob.soy is a useful[it just is, ok?] soyteen-owned IP-logger service. It has been used many times to help dox multiple lolcows, and is preferred by some 'teens instead of using mainstream IP-logger sites since most people usually don't click grabify links anymore.

The website uses (((Cloudflare))) DDoS protection and requires JavaScript to be enabled to work.[this BTFOs all TorGODs and assorted schizos]

Use[edit | edit source]

It works by simply providing a link for the IP-logger to redirect to, it will generate a link for the target and one which you and other 'teens can monitor who clicked on the link.

Note that any service which scans the link to create embeds and/or to check for malware (i.e. most messaging apps) will show up first and is NOT your target, these services may also scan the link multiple times. They can be distinguished by them visiting the link nearly instantly when you send the tracking link, and that the browser information sometimes ends with "crawler" or "bot".[it just does, ok?]

A grab from the IP logger will generally look like this:

  • IP Address: [Target's IP]
  • Browser: [Browser version] on [Target OS]
  • Timestamp: [Day], [Month] [Year] [Time when clicked on]
  • Location: [Town/City], [State/Region], [Country] [Postal Code] - [Area Timezone]
  • Approx. Coord.: [Coordinates of the target IP]
  • Cookie ID: [****...***]
  • Organization/ISP: [Targets ISP]
  • Referred from: [Tracking link]

NOTE: If the target is using a VPN or is connected to the Tor network, the IP, ISP, and location information will be incorrect.

Falseflagging[edit | edit source]

This was a particularly high-profile case of somebaldi doing this, it may not work as reliably anymore doey.

cob.soy has also been used in a handful of gemmy false-flag operations where a cob.soy tracking link is used as a link to the sharty, often as a concerned third-party finding the thread containing the dox. This was most notably done on Leafthornton during Operation No Nut November.

It should be noted that despite succeeding in getting him to click on the link, it did not lead to a fulldox being completed.

Should the target have any concerns of the links legitimacy it can be claimed to be a mirror of the current soyjak.st domain, or just a soysphere link shortener.[though this may just cause them to look it up and find this article geg]

History[edit | edit source]

2024 capture of the cob.soy homepage

cob.soy was originally created by an unnamed 'teen in late 2024,[a] ownership of the site was later transferred to SurrealSec in early 2025.

The site used to feature a non-functional people search tool that was advertised to be "coming soon"[1], which was later moved to SurrealSec's homepage,[it just was, ok?] before finally releasing as dox.soy.

SurrealSec[edit | edit source]

It has been suggested for a section of this page to be split into its own separate article: SurrealSec. Discuss. [This page was last edited at 21:29, 23 January 2026 (EST)]

Are you sure that it's over?
Because my peer-reviewed studies indicate that
IT'S JUST GETTING STARTED

SurrealSec, also known as CobSec[they just are, ok??], is a group of soyteen hackers[possible cord?] that own and provide services (cob.soy, gem.soy, and soybin.com) to fellow 'teens for the purpose of doxing, OSINT, and other SNCA.[2] Their main site currently redirects to dox.soy.
