i hadnt read that but yes its very close to what i had in mind

after unbanning the linking of splinters, the sncapedia lost a lot of it's purpose and mostly served as a space for non-quotecord approved perspective on controversial topics that were otherwise sanitized by the quotecord. Templates no longer work

I don't know what changed, but some mediawiki templates used in every page like {{reflist}} no longer work. I think this may have to do with the removal of Scribunto extension but I'm unsure. That and there is no need for more than one "administrator" bureaucrat, especially if there is concern about security (the role is still needed for wiki maintenance and other non-security related rights, hence why it was always delegated since Soot).
