Dubstep or 'step in soyspeak is a bass-focused electronic music genre invented in the early 2000s by Aryans in the UK, it is typically at 140 to 180 BPM with a halftime drum pattern. Exploding and peaking in popularity in the early 2010s, it is the music of choice for montage parodies. Now it has basically become an underground genre but it's still a goldmine for hidden gemeralds.

It has been fact-checked by Snopes that dubstep is the most Aryan music genre to have ever been created, and if (You) disagree you're a T50 vantablack nigger.

"Drumstep" is not listed since it's basically just dubstep at drum and bass speeds (160-180 BPM).

• Brostep - This is the one with the crazy bass sounds, and what most normalGODS think of when they hear "dubstep".
• Melodic dubstep - Has more of an emphasis on melodies than bass, dubstep songs with lyrics are very likely to be this subgenre.
• Riddim - Consists of the same sound repeated over and over in the drop, with the sound changing every few bars. Sometimes combined with brostep to make briddim. SVDDEN DEATH makes this type of dubstep.
• Tearout/Deathstep/Minatory - Wide dumping ground genre for some of the loudest, heaviest music you can make with a computer. Overlaps with some of the heavier Riddim but can be distinguished from it and Brostep by being inspired by Death/Black metal and Industrial, with a similar cadence to extreme metal genres and being schizophrenically loud with tons of straight up gunshot sounds and 'vroom vroom' sustains.
• Classic - The original style from London. Deep, with atmospheric harmonies over a heavy bassline. Due to being first, it evolved and bled into Riddim and even Tearout.
