/mtv/[1] is a board on soyjak.st based around the discussion of music, television and video games. It is a successor to /muv/.

This board is best known for it's overlap with /a/ and /v/, which leads to unsuspecting soyteens making threads related to aryanime and vidya on /mtv/. This has catastrophic consequences on the aforementioned boards, because instead of having an average PPH of 3, they now have an average PPH of 2, thanks to some SLF who decided to talk about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on /mtv/ (even doe it's based on a book). The boards, despite eating up the PPH of other (((discussion boards))) is still a massive DNB because the few soyteens who post on discussion boards are spread too thin. It is recommended to visit this board once or twice a week, otherwise you are bound to constantly stalk the thread you want to post in. DO NOT expect fruitful discussion unless you know that there are soyteens who are interested in your particular interests, and regardless of how many posters there are in a thread, derailers WILL appear.

History[edit | edit source]

The board was first created by Kuz on May 19, 2023 as a successor to /muv/, which was barely used and was deleted after a falseflaggot pedophile framed its users. However, /mtv/ wasn't added to the top bar, causing protests from soyteens.[2] The board was locked on June 3, 2024 by Root and subsequently reopened 2 days later due to backlash.

Culture[edit | edit source]

The culture of /mtv/ is not any different from /soy/. If you expect /qa/ culture to thrive here like on /a/ you will be disappointed. The culture of /mtv/ contains, but is not and is limited to:

Happenings[edit | edit source]

>>>>>That tranny forced TCOAAL thread? Its gay!

The only notable event in the history of /mtv/, besides it getting locked, was when GQD EMPERQR FRQQT implemented his nu 5 board plan. The board suddenly had around 50 PPH throughout the day and new discussions formed quickly. Before the 5 board plan, to get an amount of new posts equivalent to a single refresh on 4chan, you would have to visit the board once a month, now however, you could easily fill a thread in a single day. This, of course, led to soyteens swiftly covering random subject unrelated to the site, like TCOAAL, nu-metal, anime, /qa/ bait, the newly re-discovered sharty gamenights that were stationed on /mtv/ (and nobaldi even knew they existed, since nophono knew /mtv/ existed before this) and others. The adventure was cut short by the 'ack. After the 'ack ended, a small portion of 4cucks (those who returned to 4chan) started seldom visiting the discussion boards on der sharty, /mtv/ included.
In around late 2025, a group of 4cucks? or soyteens? or both? started a thread on some literal who called Pete Nice. Over the following months (this is still going on at the time of writing 29/3/26 btw), some autistDEITIES posted SEVERAL THOUSAND posts over multiple threads, probably because the discussion turned into shitflinging, a trait common in 4cuck oldfags. It's safe to say that, in its 3 year long history, one fourth of this boards posts were made by this group of users. jsid
