Rika Furude and Bernkastel, also known as le BWC girl, le BBC girl and le TLP girl are two tranime girls from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni (both part of the When they Cry series) respectively. They are best known for being the subject of race baiting on /qa/ and on the sharty.
Spadeson is the IAS spiritual successor of Rika Furude and Bernkastel; at least for the BBC side of the Penis Color War.

Origin[edit | edit source]
On July 15, 2021, a thread on /qa/ was made with a picture of Bernkastel grimacing and the caption: her face when she sees your tiny white pecker[1]. On September 18, 2021, in a similar race baiting thread, a user called Bernkastel “le bwc girl”[2]. This was part of an era when posting anime girls was very common in /qa/ and tranime girls being posted alongside bait or shitposting captions was very common besides the usual soy posts.
Tiny lemon pecker[edit | edit source]
A third alternative to the BWC/BBC war emerged when a comic was posted depicting Nojak as a lemon beating up a race baiting Markiplier Soyjak[3]. The main purpose of this meme seems to be subverting the regular racebaiting by removing the racial aspect in favor of a surrealist alternative.
Rika[edit | edit source]
Besides the usual race baiting, Rika also has the function of serving as le heckin cute meme animu child, this is due to the her best friend Satoko losing that position because of over association with the spic namefag who's a fan of her.
Otherwise Rika's appeal is the ability to fit in any situation where the comedy derives from the absurdity of her being there (just like the hecking troonhou fumos). She's also used for chud baiting[4] and to represent the sharty's general appreciation for Higurashi, and to show that Higurashi is sharty culture[it just is, ok?].
Controversy[edit | edit source]
Some soyteens have complained about the meme for the fact that the BBC context would imply sexual activities against Rika, who is underage (>erm ackshually chud she's technically 100 + years old-ACK!). Nevertheless, this problem is mitigated for the fact that the BWC posting is more commonly used with Bernkastel who is an adult.
Analysis[edit | edit source]
They fit perfectly in the racebaiting context of old /qa/, serving as mascots for the concept in general, as they were used interchangeably in both BBC and BWC posts. The usage of anime girls comes from the influence of 4cuck culture on old /qa/, but after it shut down and as the sharty grew to distance itself from it, this two characters largely fell out of relevance outside of /a/ for falling out of the rule against NAS posts on /soy/, thus stopping the racebaiting posts from including them in it, but it could be argued that the impact of this meme would serve to keep alive the popularity of Higurashi on the Sharty. Their legacy as racebaiting mascots would then be replaced by Spadeson as mentioned prior.
Besides that, you could take your meds and realize nobody cares about race baiting because it's the bait everyone plays along with, but nobody falls for. Also, it's le hecking forced meme or something.

Other When they Cry characters that have been subject to race baiting include Lambdadelta, who is known as le BWC/BBC lady[5] and Erika Furudo.
Satoko Houjou[edit | edit source]
It’s the fren of Rika Furude or something like that kino slowburn or whatever.
She is best known for being attached to the infamous ‘ru troll pedo spic gegbull satoko_houjou_fan that makes everyone seethe with his obvious trolling tacti-BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
