DOOM (also written DooM or just Doom) is an A24, spine-tingling, jumpscare-free, slowburn first person shooter released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Best known for being highly influential to said genre and being probably the least faggoted thing you could play in 3D (ebendo it's ackshully 2.5D). Lee Goldson is famously a big fan of it.
The Games[edit | edit source]
DooM I[edit | edit source]
The first game (no shit). Seperated from the other classic titles, as it was chapter oriented. Got a fork called Ultimate DooM, adding another chapter with biblical level names, tougher and prettier-looking level design, and a heckin' NIN reference.
Chapters[edit | edit source]
- Knee-Deep in the Dead
- Takes place on the moon of phono, a lot of DNB techbases overrun by demens
- The Shores of Hell
- The more demen infested Deimos base, demonic influence is more visible here because of the upside-down crosses, walls of flesh, demonic faces.
- Inferno
- Nigga you're in hell, last chapter of the original release
- Thy Flesh Consumed
- Placeholder
