DOOM (also written DooM or just Doom) is an A24, spine-tingling, jumpscare-free, slowburn first person shooter released in 1993 for MS-DOS. Best known for being highly influential to said genre and being probably the least faggoted thing you could play in 3D (ebendo it's ackshully 2.5D) back in the 90s.

The Games[edit | edit source]

DooM I[edit | edit source]

The first game (no shit). Boasted the most realistic horror experience the DOS had to offer among other groundbreaking features like multiplayer play. DooM I is unique from the other classic titles as the game was split into chapters, after each set of nine levels (eight standard, one secret), the player was forced to select a new chapter manually, resetting his weapons, ammo and health to as if he were starting the game with a fresh start. This feature that would be dropped by the next game. Got a fork called Ultimate DooM in 1994, adding another chapter.

Knee-Deep in the Dead
Takes place on the moon of phono, a lot of DNB techbases overrun by demens. These somehow are the best maps even though they only spam zombiemen imps shotgunners and pinkies. Ending with a boss fight against 2 Barons of Hell with the exit being a trap as you get raped by a bunch of demons in a dark room.
The Shores of Hell
More demen infested Deimos base, demonic influence is more visible here because of the upside-down crosses, walls of flesh, demonic faces. There are more demons and weapons in these maps but these maps and inferno have very dated and sulfur design. Ending with the Cyberdemon at the tower of bable
Inferno
Nigga you're in hell, last chapter of the original release. Also the worst of the 3 chapters ending in an underwhelming fight with the Spider mastermind which can go down in one BFG shot.
Thy Flesh Consumed
Nigga you're in hell but srs bsnss, infamously the hardest chapter being added in the Ultimate DooM. With only the first two maps being the only ones to have any challenge being E4M1 Hell Beneath with it's endless shotgunners and 1 baron. E4M2: Perfect Hatred John Romero's most infamous map All of the level's titles are derived from bible verses.

DooM II[edit | edit source]

The second game, also the most whined about by trannies. Features tons of new monsters being the Pain Elemental, Chaingunner, Archvile, Revenant, Mancubus, Arachnotron, and Hell knight. new powerup and the Supershotgun a double barreled sawed off boom-stick that makes quick work of any low/mid tier demons. Also used as the base for 90% of WADS.

The Space Station
Levels 1-11, an absolute dead nigger baby of a UAC space station over run by heckin' demons. Because the UAC would rather be gooning to Soytan gemmies than protect the human refugees residing at the starport, You are left to clear out the demons these are also the best maps You will spend most of your time replaying these instead of the later maps
The City
Levels 12-20, the husk of your former hometown, these levels are best known for being whined about endlessly by trannies. Particularly the city levels and their sulfur layouts particularly particularly Map 13 and how it has a GIANT FUCKING ARROW telling you where to go. Map 15 also has a secret exit leading to Map 31 Wolfenstien a remake of Id's previous shooter. There's a secret exit in that map too that leads to grosse where you can let the Cyberdemon shoot rockets at the le heckin nazis
Hell
Levels 21-30, the homestretch, also the strangest set of levels. Ending with a final boss the icon of sin being John Romero's head on a pike behind a giant wall texture that spits out random enemies.

Final DooM[edit | edit source]

Initially fanmade megaWADs, these were bought out by ID software to act as a sequel to the previous two games.

TNT Evilution[edit | edit source]

One of the most controversial iWADs, many criticize the full game, while others say it's perfectly fine. In reality it just got blown out by Plutonia with most of the maps being SNCA

Legacy of Rust[edit | edit source]

Released in 2024. ID Software worked with Nightdive and Machine Games to make an expansion pack Comes with two episodes and a set of custom weapons and monsters. Closely associated with Nightdive's KEX Engine. It's Pretty underrated ngl

Doom 3[edit | edit source]

Is a spine tingling subversive no jump scares horror experience. It was technically impressive for the time however nowadays is mostly overshadowed by the other DooM games with it's more horror oriented approach not sticking. The game is surprisingly good in Vr tho

Doom (2016)[edit | edit source]

A modern re-imagining of classic DooM being more brutal and violent whilst occasionally nostalgia baiting

Doom Eternal[edit | edit source]

Popular with some Trannies Femboys and White monster lovers. The game is even faster and more violent than in DooM 2016 with the Doom Guy having incredibly fast movement and being able to double jump mixed with the main way of healing and refilling your ammo involving killing demons leads to the violence never stopping. DOOM Eternal and it's ADHD gameplay is the basis for what many other indieslop 'modern boomer shooters' would later copy like Ultrakill.

Doom the Dark Ages[edit | edit source]

Doom but medieval and shit idk

Fandumb[edit | edit source]

This page or section will NOT have a huge list of literal whos, offsite boogeymen, or nulees. You VILL rewrite this page or section to remove these literal whos.

The DooM community living as long as it has, garnered some strange people over the years.

On the Sharty[edit | edit source]

Lee Goldson - Soldier in a one-man war against My Little Pony and other childish degeneracy, iconically a DooM fan.

SprokemowerMan - Aryan predecessor of Cobblestone who deeply influenced the 'ki who certainely needs no introduction, but before that he was involved in the development of SoyDoom

Troonworld[edit | edit source]

Troonworld should be taken as an example of what happens when you ban everything I dislike.

Bloodshedder - Fat faggot and Doomworld's equivalent of Jay Louis Irwin. Bans everything from the Doomworld /idgames archive that makes his clitty leak mildly

Linguica - Head admin of Troonworld, faggot, massive forehead.

Pcorf - Autistic

Mr. Chris - Furfag, ABDLtranny, and proto-HTSM. Once commissioned Pokemon BDSM to be mailed to his home, only for his mom to intercept it. Also allegedly once had his mom find his dirty diaper collection.

Skulltag[edit | edit source]

Carnevil - Fat manchild who plays DDR and eats lunchables, created the highly influential Skulltag.

Technical RNCA[edit | edit source]

iWads[edit | edit source]

The main wads are DOOM.wad and DOOM2.wad. There are many more Wads, such as Chex Quest, Strife, and Hexen. Officially, Bethesda owns them, evendoe Doom's code is open source. Therefore, somephonos download FreeDoom instead. TNT and Plutonia are technically iWads, since they're official mods.

pWads[edit | edit source]

These are mods for Doom. This ranges from maps to TCs (total conversions). Technically, modern mods are usually pk3 files, but they're still called wads. Some of the most well known wads include:

  • MyHouse.wad basically House of Leaves if it was a doom wad
  • Squidward Doom (it just is ok)
  • Moon Man playing as the titular character or Hitler among others shooting up Niggers, Jews, Feminists, Mexicans, and Tyrone. The most controversial Wad due to the heckin racism
  • niggathatsNuts a wad with thousands of demons just lined up.

Source Ports[edit | edit source]

Determines the code that'll be used to run the Doom wads. Wads are a file format used primarily by games based on the Doom engine. Source ports have variable capabilities.

For futher info:

DOS Box / DOS[edit | edit source]

Pure vanilla.

Modding is severely limited, by today's standards: limited to sprite replacements and monster replacements, because the number of sprites and things has a hard limit. Custom maps are also limited due to linedef limits and such. Even FreeDoom has some maps that aren't compatible with Doom's original limits.

Limit Removing[edit | edit source]

Chocolate Doom, etc. 90% vanilla. Fixes bugs and removes limits. More friendly towards custom maps and mods, but lacks the zoomdoom features.

BOOM/PRBOOM[edit | edit source]

Vanilla with some extra features, independent from ZDoom. Commonly used by Doomers that want pure kino in vanilla compatible maps and mods.

ZDoom[edit | edit source]

AKA ZoomDoom. Big boy source port for mods. Currently a DNB but has many offspring. Evolved to GZDoom/UZDoom, Zandronum, etc. Most modern mods require a ZDoom-based source port. Not all of these ports are equal, because technically you can have a mod that's only compatible with GZDoom. Added crouching, jumping, 3D floors, vertical aiming, slopes, etc.

SkullTag[edit | edit source]

Another oldfag source port for multiplayer that's a DNB. Highly ambitious for this time as it added a plethora of weapons, monsters and powerups that mods still borrow from to this day, including the minigun, grenade launcher, railgun and BFG10K. Also was the landmark of many fun multiplayer gamemodes still enjoyed by the Dooom community (meds they're all shitting up the server queue with MM8BDM and Brutal Doom).

LZDoom[edit | edit source]

For potato computers that can't run GZ or UZ, but you want to run the ZDoom mods. Generally reliable, but runs into problems for some mods.

GZDoom[edit | edit source]

Most feature-rich source port. It's possible to make a mod that's only compatible with this source port. It's creator Graf Zahl has become sort of a lolcow recently being caught using Ai code.

Zandronum[edit | edit source]

Direct successor to SkullTag. The most modern multiplayer source port, and has the ZDoom features. You can play Brutal Doom or Plutonia with some nophono's that are pushing 40.

UZDoom[edit | edit source]

GZDoom under a different name. In 2025, some people forked after one of the devs used AI in their code. This happened so recently that they're 99% similar, but they'll probably diverge significantly at some point.
