Sootbaiting smells like bait.

Sootbaiting refers to a legendary art form and baiting activity that consisted of getting a rise out of former Sharty owner Soot, who was known, at times, to display a short temper. Sootbaiting was accomplished by obvious samefagging, spamming, demoralisation-coaling, shitting up his Q&A threads with meaningless requests, and accusing him of exploiting/datamining his users (a charge to which he was very sensitive). Screenshots of successful sootbaiting attempts (with samefag (You)s included) are routinely shared on the Sharty as highly-valued art pieces, considering only about a half-dozen are known to exist. However, the activity itself became a lost art after Soot's departure. But there are other admins to bait, and soyical progressivists say any seethe posted with a capcode counts as a form of sootbait.

It has been theorized that the new soyjak.party usurpers could fall for bait, but success is unlikely due to the accessibility of this page.

Accuse them of jannying wrong (you're holding it wrong btw), being a glownigger, selfish little fuck, or hating the Sharty and there's a 60% chance you'll get a capcode reply. Call them [x] spammer and you might get them to seethe incoherently about client side post filters. Bribe with hotpockets to get them to move threads. Make random conspiracy theories up and you'll get SLF jigs from Mustard. Claim to want a board deleted and then seethe when it is for a "Greentext CIA soyjaks" type tirade under your thread. Call the whole site Discord. Accuse them of stalking you with your IP post history or seethe about gempass. Sneed about Frootcord. Kvetch in the IRC. Kvetch about random namefags. Post retarded shit until they (((notice))) and leak your post history by talking about it.
