Luggage Lad Moot (powerword: (((Christopher Poole (born c. 1988, age 35-36)))), Initials: CP is an "internet entreprenuer" who founded 4cuck in 2003 and administrated it until January 2015. After deciding to leave the site due to being unable to control the chuddies in Gamergate or whatever, he created one final board to host his final Q&A on, /qa/, which would go on to be the main home of soyjaks ~5 years later. The "oot" at the end of his name would go on to inspire the names of future soyjak.party leaders, such as Soot, Froot, and Root. During his 11 year, 3 month, and 21 day-long reign of 4chan, Moot did faggy millennial 4cuck stuff that is irrelevant to the modern soyteen. Other than that, his most notable achievements are some shitty retarded Imgur clone and hauling his girlfriend's luggage as she goes to fuck Tyrone.

On November 3, 2011, a man with the name Chris Poole met with Jeffery Epstein. The meeting took place in New York City, where moot lived at the time. Moot's name is signed as Chris on some legal documents, as can be seen during his 2010 court appearance in connection with the 2008 leaking of Sarah Palin's emails.

Creation of 4chan

Moot would be responsible for changing ruining the internet forever by creating 4cuck due to him wanting to combine the cultures of 2chan and SomethingAwful. He can be atributted to indirectly creating soyjaks due to them being originally posted on /pol/, a board he created (even doe ‘jaks were actually created on /int/). Moot would decide to leave the site at 2015 after he got tired of the retardation from Gamergate and losing his userbase to 8chan. Despite being mistreated by the population during his time after he left, oldfags started to miss him and wanting xim back after a worse admin came along (just like the sharty). It's possible that Moot's reputation as an admin has been salvaged by newfags hearing rose tinted stories from nostalgic users back when 4cuck was a heckin mysterious trolling group and not some shitty porn dump. After leaving 4chan, he would work at Jewgle for a few years and sell out all data from the 4chan servers to be monitored by the feds,^{[it just is, ok?]} which explains the decline of quality in the site.

I've increased the time-between-posting limits. You now need to wait 30 seconds to post a reply, 45 seconds to post a reply with an image, and 600 seconds (10 minutes) to create a new thread.

Why these changes? Think about it--providing you aren't a fucking moron, you might just figure it out.

/b/ moves way too fast these days (over 110,000 posts per day), which is a very *mixed* blessing. Sure there is a bunch of "fresh" content, but what good is fresh when it's all crap? People spam threads to force memes, flood, combo, etc. Hopefully this will help cut down on that and encourage users to actually think to themselves "IS MY THREAD/REPLY SHIT?" before posting. The image reply interval doesn't need to be low. Quite frankly, dump threads on /b/ are fucking stupid. Use the other 30+ imageboards we have to do so (providing they're on topic).

I'll tweak the limits if need be, but honestly I only see them going up at this point, not down.

tl;dr: Stop sucking so much. Pay attention to what you're posting or you're going to hit insane timeouts and/or be banned.

EDIT #1: Protip- If you're the type of person who thinks this is the end of the world, you're the exact type of poster I'm trying to curtail/get rid of. Fuck off and leave /b/ before you destroy it any further.

EDIT #2: I've also increased the threads-per-page to 20 15 (up from 10). It's annoying to read through a page and move on to the next just to find that you're staring at essentially the same page you just left. 20 might be a bit high so it might be lowered down to 15 or so. Page limit is still at 10, so this effectively doubles the number of threads that can exist at any time on /b/. This also might need tweaking.

EDIT #3: Filesize limit decreased from 3MB to 1.5MB. We have the porn boards and /hr/ for a reason. Pretty much all of the images on /b/ are compressed and sub-0.5MB. This should still allow for large-ish images to be posted (seriously, if your image is larger than 1.5MB, something is fucked or it belongs on another board), and things like embedded book RARs to remain, while cutting down on abuse.

EDIT #4: Bump/image reply limits increased a bit. A thread can be bumped 500 times (up from 250-300) before it cannot be bumped further. New image reply limit is 200 (up from 100). This was changed to help cope with the doubling of threads-per-page and thus doubling of the amount of active threads on /b/. Sage-bombing/spamming doesn't fucking work--it just shits things up. Stop doing it. Use the reports system instead!

EDIT #5: The number of lines from a reply that display on an index page has been lowered from 30 to 10, and replies shown from 5 to 3. Most posts on /b/ are short and to the point, the only things over 10 lines in length tend to be copy-pasta and huge ASCII spam (ie. stupid shit). Five replies shown per thread is [now] a bit overkill--the OP in addition to 3 replies should give you enough of an idea of whether or not a thread is worthwhile/interesting or not. Changed threads-per-page from 20 to 15. Lowering this also makes sense since you're now seeing 4x15=60 which is comparable to the old 6x10=60. See, it balances out! [For people who are morons, those equations mean OP+REPLIES-SHOWN * THREADS-PER-PAGE = POSTS-PER-PAGE]

EDIT #6: FORCED_ANON re-enabled for a bit. We'll see how this goes. As for the "Error: Cannot find record." and subsequent thread stagnation that occurred earlier, it was a BUG, not a feature. See the status blog for more on that. For those bitching about "WAAA, /b/ WILL MOVE TOO SLOW NOW!"—you're fucking morons (and probably newfags). /b/ gets a metric fuck-ton of traffic, and will still move more than quickly enough. The thread creation timeout is to encourage people to create decent threads, and discourage the morons who used to post thread after thread after thread of absolute shit, which only pushed "good" content off of the board and didn't contribute anything.

Mootcat also known as moot-chan, moot-tan and mootkins is the catgirl mascot version of moot. While soyteens will depict their admins as jaks, it only makes sense for chan users to depict theirs as a tranime girl. In fact mootcat is part of the internet need to turn literally anything into a tranime waifu, a concept we are all too familiar with, even if said thing being turned into an anime girl is an irl adult male. It wouldn't take too long for moot to start self-inserting as her, but eventually she would kind of become a character of itself, a mascot of the site and a symbol of oldfag culture and having her own distinction from the man it was based on. She is often shown in fanarts as being friends with Yotsuba and Snacks-tan (an anime girl version of W.T Snacks). Moot cat also has a smaller chibi-esque version which resembles Hello Kitty. Moot chan's popularity would eventually deteriorate after Moot left the site, though some oldfag larpers and zoomers who found the coin slottie 4chancore aesthetic or saw that one animation of her would still create content for this character long after 4cuck users stopped caring.
