Soy Boys or Soyboys, also known as Nu-Males, refers to a stereotype of emasculated, pop culture-obsessed men with leftist political views, who also commonly are fans of the Nintendo Switch, amongst various other things. They're also known to be performative around women, for example supporting and feminism and abortion, though most of the times it's just so they can get laid.

Soyboys are usually aged between 20 and 40; they are often bald or balding, sporting a stubble and wearing glasses. Soy Boys were the original inspiration for the Soyjak, a meme that satirises in a highly accurate manner the millions of men who do, in fact, look like a Soyjak and say the same things that Soyjaks do. You'll commonly find them in San Diego, California, with an apple MacBook in hand munching on some delicious food truck tacos with a Starbucks coffee on the table. Walk up to them wearing anything relating to Marvel and they'll strike up a conversation with you. You'll notice their love for dad jokes. But say anything that's even slightly offensive (the hekkin microaggressions, chuddy) and they'll usually say something like "Woahhh slow down there pal, gettin a little too alt right/political for me!"

The Nu-Soyboy / The Mullet

There has been a growing trend within soy boys, in which they all try to emulate this look in particular. Pointing out the irony in the adoption - these long haircuts used to be maintained (ironically enough) back when they were popular, and the people adopting them today don't seem to care about that kind of stuff. As a result, their facial hair also goes so unkempt, that it grows into a disgusting stache instead. It's even funnier when you realize the original 80's mullet look was meant to represent rebellion and freedom, meanwhile the typical manlet that rocks this look advocates and supports the most stale and zogbot leftist political opinions. You'll usually find them at a Tame Impala concert in Austin, Texas, drinking their frappes/matcha from a locally owned coffee shop, (remember the boycott you fukin fascist piggy!) whilst sporting the hottest and newest thrifted look. They like to larp as anti-establishment but obviously, as most things are with these people, it's all performative. Their ultimate goal is to get some sweet sweet mid goth girl pussy. Something you'll notice about them is that they'll cuss a lot, but every time they do it just sounds so forced. These "mullets" tend to actually make fun of Reddit alot, and actually you'll commonly find them posting soyjak memes on their Twitter account, usually ones mocking MAGA (see fell for it again award) or other right-winged ideologies.
