It shouldn’t use the banned image because that’s just confusing Beidore (talk) 14:17, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

What I would do instead[edit source]
Approve an edit then undo it with the "reason for rejection" in your edit summary. OopooPoopoo (talk) 01:03, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- This just braps up page histories a bit doe. North (talk) 01:04, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- This + It doesn't directly tell the editor in question what they did wrong, and also the point of rejecting edits is to prevent bad edits from potentially polluting page histories with unwanted things like bad links. There's no point in approving an edit just to immediately undo it. GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 03:03, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- If it is infact really bad like a bad link just reject it and talk on the talk page if you have to. Plus it's tells people in the page history what not to do. OopooPoopoo (talk) 03:13, 4 May 2026 (UTC)

Ts shit keeps exploding into its code when I save edits with it[edit source]
Cursed ahh template (proof i've taken my meds and that this is a real issue)
Maybe try not having the fucking template's code be within an includeonly tag (and please fuckin add default values to the template) GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 08:00, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
- This happens whenever you use the template transclusion modifier
{{subst:xyz}}, (see: Mediawikiwiki:Help:Magic words#Transclusion modifiers) and is how you are supposed to use this template iirc. 〜 MarketPliers (leak here) 15:52, 18 May 2026 (UTC)- This template is shit when substituting and when not substituting, I suggest we just abandon it entirely North (talk) 16:06, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- We could revamp it but yeah this is not really needed, I would vastly prefer something intergrated into Mediawiki that gives a notification to the editor. 〜 MarketPliers (leak here) 16:14, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- Adding an option when rejecting edits to include a reason why it was rejected would be the ideal solution, but for now I think this template could just have its code unfucked. Could also start over and make it a

- no???? we don't need a whole ass template just to tell your edit was rejected. TraisoRightsWonned (talk) 14:33, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- if there can be plenty of templates that exist solely to insult whoever's userpage they get placed on, then having a template to tell someone that their edit was rejected isn't that useless in comparison. obviously it'd be ideal if the approver panel came with an automated way to notify the user who made the edit that you just rejected with why you rejected it, but in the meantime this is a better stopgap than having to manually add a new section and type out an entire new talkpage message when there's really not any need to make a notification from scratch GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 14:49, 6 June 2026 (UTC)

- if i'm expected to do it for free instead of being paid per hour then there's no harm in having a more effective way to do it than having to manually type out a generic rejection message. besides if there can be plenty of one-off/userpage only templates then an anporvor tool template is perfectly reasonable GauntletThrown (clittyleakage zone) 14:36, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
