Westboro Baptist Church
The Westboro Baptist Church, or the WBC, is a Baptist fundamentalist extremist group based out of Topeka, Kansas. It was founded by Fred Phelps in 1955 as a normal Baptist church, but as America, land of the sodomite damned, fagged out, it began a campaign of protests and hate truthnvke speech against the enemies of God. The WBC has established a multitude of trvthnvke catchphrases such as: God hates fags, fags burn in hell, thank God for 9/11, fags doom nations, and (country), land of the sodomite damned.
Fred Phelps
[edit | edit source]Fred W. Phelps, Rest in power, was the founder and pastor of the WBC. He is the one in the videos. (Never mind the fact he beat the absolute shit out of his many children, as told to us by Nate Phelps.)[1] Fred, in a news story about his church sending homophobic fax messages to fags, said "this is such fun!"[2] it is very clear that Fred Phelps was having an incredible amount of fun doing what he did, and throughout the protests he was often seen with a face of pure and unrivaled joy. Phelps died in 2014 of natural causes.
Protests
[edit | edit source]The WBC gained infamy from their picketing protests in which they would hold up signs, often in the same multicolored format, insulting whichever group they were after. They started out picketing pride parades and establishments who affirmed faggotry, but the first truly infamous one of these was when a faggot teen died and they went to clown on the memorial. because of the outraged response from the fags, the WBC began regularly doing these funeral protests to more fags, the army, and others.
