You can use these on the 'ki by typing {{Emoji|emojiname}}. Its best to use these on talk pages and user pages
Nuurumojis are emojis featuring a soyjak face on a simple circular background. The trend started with the launch of the Nuuru, where Cobblestone, Broot and Magnus made some nuurumojis for the emotes box.

Source code leak
On May 30, 2026, Limeade (as "Giga Retard") leaked a whole bunch of internal sharty stuff on the shiwi. Within these leaks, he claimed that Ronald secretly develops and administrates the Nuuru, which was originally developed as an iFunny clone called "SoFunny" or "Memeburger", and even vibe coded it with Claude Code. He also leaks source code and screenshots of said very early version of the Nuuru, which revealed the Nuuru is written in C# and fully confirmed the long-held rumor that the Nuuru was vibe coded, which prior to this Mustard refused to confirm or deny and Quote straight up denied.
More than a week later, on June 8, 2026, the source code for a newer version of the Nuuru, after the iFunny clone to SoyBooru rewrite conversion, was leaked on the shiwi by another Kiwi Farms user called "Femtanyl"[1], who is believed to be either Ronald or another alt of Limeade. The source code can be viewed here[the github version], and here[the regular version for SLF who dont know how to use GIT].
The list of contributors to the Git repo are the following:[a]
Due to the controversial nature of blogposting on the Sharty, the addition of a forum to the 'ru has obviously been subject to controversy.
Some people argue that the site looks too much like most vibecoded sites nowadays and has lost its SOVL due to this. According to allegations raised in the Limeade leak, the site's backend was in fact vibe-coded via claude in C# by Ronald. This was confirmed by the source code leak, showing that Ronald used Claude Code and Gemini CLI to vibecode most of it.
Nuurumojis look like Windows XP icons, therefore making them retroslop and troonslop.
Looking up posts by their MD5 hash no longer works, effectively breaking the ability to link to specific posts with the boorusearch template on this very wiki.
Old profile descriptions and profile pictures were not carried over, so many farewell messages were erased.
The site introduced an unforgivable rate limit, even for simple tasks like browsing posts.
The Booru API was completely deprecated, breaking extensions like SPE that utilize it.
Old emojis were removed rather than being converted into legacy icons.
Old formatting was broken completely.
You can't view users' upvotes and that's le bad because it's harder to find specific posts you or someone else has updooted in the past.
↑Something to note is that most of these are actual Github accounts, and most of them that can be viewed were created on January 30th, 2026, just under a month before the release of the Nuuru. Usernames also start showing up in the Github version shortly after this date. (all of them before are just "N/A".)
