BBCode is a text styling format mainly used on SoyBooru that would also have been used on Nusoi. Since the Nuuru, which includes a bar at the top of the comment section to style your comment, BBCode is no longer required as much to style them; however, there might be some situations in which you DO need it (e.g., when you need to make creative spam or make glowing red text), or when you need to post a URL (because the obsessed faggot Nuuru doesn't do it properly, for some reason).
