Fujoshi (rotten girl in a literal translation) or fujoshit as known by detractors, is a japanese term used to refer to a woman or girl with a huge infatuation for homosexual relationships between men, usually consuming yaoi or gay related content as a hobby.

The term itself has originated around the 2000s on the 2chan imageboard[1] usually describing consumers of anime and manga specifically, but the term caught on in later years and is now used more broadly to refer to any girl who is a fan of gay male romance and porn, be it fictional or not. Fujoshis almost exclusively like this type of content for sexual reasons, as they think two men kissing is cute or hot or whatever, but who knows, it's not extremely rare to find self-proclaimed lesbians who are fujos. Fujoshis are usually reviled on the internet for making men uncomfortable, even some faggots, who think fujos are fetishizing them and that is hecking problematic or something. Fujos are also usually stereotyped as generally unnatractive, unkept, shut-ins or socially inept, and because of this and a myriad of other reasons, a lot of fujos become pooners, since they want to want to be a gay men but can't. Fujos also are known to infest pretty much every fanbase and shipping male characters, this fandomite behavior also being a factor that approximates the venn diagram circles between a fujo and pooners.

The inverse of fujoshi and himedanshi respectively, basically faggots and dykes. They are probably not as common as the first two because most yaoi/yuri content are not made by faggots/dykes or something.
