Got it, I read and understand it all, thank you. Question though, could you lower the main page perms to mods+ (currently it is set to admin with cascading option turned on), as currently there is only one actual admin (who does not really edit anymore) so it makes it impossible for anyone to actually new featured gems, dailyjaks, and major events. Just so you are now aware, the bot is now enabled, it will go through the wiki every week at Friday UTC time, so it will do its first run by then. You should see it edit all of those templates by then, which will probably be 200+. You can review its code for any issues from its user page. Rule against removing certain templates?

Some templates like {{biased}} or {{divisive}} might get removed during edit wars and it wont help with the situation on that page

Reduce abuse filter restrictions

A while ago I noticed the ze bot keeps getting hit by the abuse filter when performing its usual booru update tasks. This causes it to skip pages entirely, with error messages like: 2|soybot | [!] Error on Joysak: Edit to page Joysak disallowed by the AbuseFilter. This action has been automatically identified as harmful, and therefore disallowed. If you believe your action was constructive,please inform an administrator of what you were trying to do. A brief description of the abuse rule which your action matched is: general rate limit.

In response, I adjusted the bot’s put_throttle to 30 seconds between edits. However, some of its actions still occasionally trip the filter when doing those long runs.

I could increase the throttle to 45 seconds to fully avoid it after looking at its settings, but in my opinion that would slow the bot down too much and make routine updates unreasonably long.

Would it be possible to either:

• Increase the limit slightly (e.g. 30 actions per 800s), or
• Add a condition to exempt user_name == "SoycyclopediaBot" from this specific filter?
