The First Soyanniversary is the first iteration of an annual event that celebrates the anniversary of soyjak.party. The event lasts 7 days, from September 13th to September 20th. Every day brings a new contest, competition, poll or other activities with itself. Many rewards are given to winners, such the addition of your creations into an unreleased "Hall of Fame", an optional temporary award next to their name on soyjak.party, a "Competition Winner Award" tag on the 'schlog, 5 questions to Froot, Soygem Passes and even a board of their own. The event lasted 7 days, but some competitions still continued even after the Soyanniversary ended.[1][2]

On the 13th of September 2024, the first event had started and the new board '/soya/ - Soyanniversary' was added for official announcements of competitions, contests, and discussion about the event.

Final Canvas of The Soyplanet.

DAY 1: The SoyPlanet, The Sharty Awards (Polling Starts)[edit | edit source]

Shortly after the Soyanniversary was announced, a thread was made asking soyteens to nominate their favorite/least favorite nu-variants, variants, admins, boards (excluding /soy/), splinters, raids, soyfoods (such as Sproke), media and more for the Sharty Awards.[3] A wiki contest was also announced, that would last until September 20th.[4]

DAY 2: Soyhistory Art Contest[edit | edit source]

A thread on /soya/ was made announcing a contest for soyteens to make art of soyhistory. The art could be about anything, as long as it is atleast in some way tied to the history, lore or people of the Sharty. Three people have the chance to win. The first place prizes are a "Competition Winner Award" tag on soyjak.blog, 5 questions to Froot, an award next to your name on the Sharty, a place in "THE HALL OF FAME...", and a pinned thread on /soy/ showcasing the artwork. The second and third place winners get a Soygem Pass and a place in "THE HALL OF FAME..."[5]

DAY 3: The Soyim Games[edit | edit source]

A new thread was made on /soya/ asking for submissions for The Soyim Games. Soyteens could reply to the thread with their submissions. Only the name, gender and an image of the character were required for a submission. The character should also be related to 'jakking culture, /qa/ culture, imageboard culture, or anything at least somewhat related to the Sharty. The game would begin when enough characters are submitted.[6]

DAY 4: The Anniversary Soyteen Polls (Polling Starts)[edit | edit source]

The Sharty Awards polling starts.[7] Soyteens could vote for Best Admin, Best Board (excluding /soy), Best Splinter, Most Gemmy Raid, Favorite Soyfood, Favorite "Sub-Demographic" of Posters, Favorite "Soy Artist / Influencer", Favorite Booru Poster, Greatest Enemy of the Sharty, Best Soyproject, Best Website outside of the Sharty, and Best Media enjoyed by Soyteens, with options from the Sharty Awards nominations thread. Another poll, "The Soyanniversary Poll", was also created to gather data about the demographics of soyjak.party. Users could answer questions about their nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, etc.[8]

DAY 5: Soy Song Cover Contest[edit | edit source]

A thread was created announcing another contest, this time for soy song parodies. There would be only one winner, and submissions would be voted on by the users. Only actual songs would be counted as submissions, so lyrics-only parodies weren't allowed.[9]

DAY 6: The Board Brackets[edit | edit source]

Soyteens were able to submit their ideas for new boards in a thread. After the initial voting stage, 16 of the most voted boards would compete in a brackets-style voting tournament. The submissions included boards such as /fit/, /sci/, /calm/, /anthro/, and new ideas such as /f2/ - Flash (swf files), /n/ - Namefagging, /swa/ - Memes and iFunny, etc.[10]

DAY 7: The Sharty Awards[edit | edit source]

On the last day of the event a Sharty Awards Ceremony was hosted. And an "upcoming closure" announcement about The Soyplanet was also announced. The Sharty Awards Ceremony would feature Nate Jake and Sean (The Sharty's / Jarty's / Shemmy's Mascots) as its hosts. After Day 7 it was announced that The Board Brackets Event would still be running after the end of The Soyanniversary. The two contests still running (Soyhistory Art Contest and Soy Song Cover Contests) were also extended by a week more and given some new awards.

The soyim rejoice during the 2025 Soyanniversary.
