The Gigachad-Lennonjak War is an incident that occured on July 22nd 2024, and started after Lennonteens tried to catty wipe the 'log for some reason. This caused several gigaposters to start flooding the catalog with demands to ban Lennonjak and for admins to re-add /giga/, which prompted a response from the lennonposters. After a few minutes, most of the threads on /soy/ had already been slid due to the page limit being set to 10 (Thanks admins!). The catty was wiped several times, and jannies even took sides, with one using the capcode John Lennon, telling a gigaposter to kill himself (before being banned for 1 minute by another janny). Eventually, both parties came to a ceasefire as they prepared for the 8000000 GET instead. The result of the conflict was inconclusive, as there was nothing but lennon and gigas left on the catty, in rougly equal proportion with eachother. Neither side got the 8000000 GET, but Lennonteens claimed 7999999, resulting in them claiming victory in the conflict. Others argued that 7999999 is not a GET.

On July 23, the war continued with a post called "If this thread gets 500 replies Froot has to ban the murdered variant forever" the post reached 100 replies before Froot replied that he would infact ban the variant. In the time between Froot's reply and the post reaching 500 replies both sides managed to wipe the 'log with their spam. Upon 500 replies Froot officially banned Lennonjak, being the second Admin to ban lennonjak after Root. He also said he would re-open /giga/, marking a decisive win for /giga/GODs in their eyes. One Lennonteen even called for a soyvil war, but this is unlikely to happen since there are only 2-3 lennon posters.

A similar conflict would continue the legacy of the war into 2025.
