The Sharty-4chan Confusion refers to a phenomenon where offsiters (usually leftoids and plebbitors) constantly confuse the party with 4chan. While this can be good because it mantains the sharty's secret kool kid klub status and unintentionally falseflags everything as done by the 'cuck, it also frustrates advertisement and influence efforts. It's similar to how /pol/ often gets mischaracterized as being the entirety of 4chan despite the latter being full of faggots.
This behavior is due to the media's constant push of 4chan as this extremist alt-right boogeyman over the years from events from virtually 16 years ago, making people think that all anonymous forums are 4chan. It also means people might refer to other forums like the farms as 4chan, despite looking absolutely nothing like it.
Despite the sharty itself originated from the 'cuck, enough time has passed (and a Great Cuckset) for it to be recognized as a standalone imageboard.

- Complaining about people adopting 4chan lingo like gem and coal
- Calling anyone who uses soyjaks a nazi 4chan incel
- Saying “Soyjak 4chan” because they think we don’t have our own identity
- Thinking soyjaks are freaking old /b/ culture just like the troll face!
