Anonymous is a branch of the Central Intelligence Agency safe edgy LARP group and former internet trolling organization. More broadly, Anonymous refers to the large community of users who interact with each other on anonymous imageboards like the 'cuck. As of the current year, the Sharty is the head of Anonymous because, uh, because it just is okay?
Anonymous has conducted many epic raids and trolling operations in the past like raiding Habbo Hotel and doxing kids.
A brief history of Anonymous
[edit | edit source]Most of 4chan's early userbase were migrants from SomethingAwful and loved to raid other websites. Since 4chan is an anonymous site, users began calling each other "anon" for short and collectively referred to themselves as "Anonymous". Eventually some retard in 2006 thought it would be a fun idea to threaten to bomb the Super Bowl, marking the beginning of the US government's involvement with the site. Ever since that day, glowies have constantly been lurking on the site and, with the cooperation of its administration, engaging in psyops and surveillance of suspicious users. A crackdown began on raid/doxing threads with users responding to raid requests with "Anonymous is not your personal army, lurk moar newfag" which killed off many raids with gemmy potential.
Despite raiding being against the rules, /b/ continued with them anyways and ended up pulling off stunts like the Habbo raids and successfully mass voting for Rick Astley on MTV's best act award, along with other operations.
Around 2008, Anonymous became the Internet's Thought Police and began attacking anything they didn't like. At the time, Anonymous stood for free speech and anti-censorship and saw the Church of Scientology's efforts at shutting down anything they didn't like as a threat to these values. Older anons who only wanted to troll and raid for the lulz saw this and didn't like this direction, which is where the term moralfag first originated. Anonymous then began their first IRL operation against the Church, initiating actual cyberattacks instead of just casually trolling. This marked the time Anonymous became a true hacker movement and not just "le scary hackers on steroids."
Throughout the years they engaged in more cyberattacks against world governments, which worried the glowies so much they had to infiltrate the group and arrest most of its members by 2011, around the demise of "splinter" group LulzSec. The remaining members gave up and vowed to use their hacker magic for the US government. (or just go to other places like raidforums or /baphomet/) This is why anything related to "Anonymous" nowadays is literal CIA propaganda. They've DDoSed the Minneapolis Police, Kremlin, and anti-abortion websites not for the lulz, but instead to support whatever the current thing is at the moment, revealing that the NuAnonymous really just works for whatever the US government supports. The Anonymous of yesteryear is a thing of the past, having since just mostly been a LARPing operation run by former 420chan owner Kirtaner, (who genuinely claims to be the leader of Anonymoooose) until he was arrested.
The TRVTH
[edit | edit source]There is no organized hacking group called Anonymous and there never was. Since the normie media was clitty leaking about "Anonymous" after some 4cuck threatened to bomb the Super Bowl, some script kiddies decided it would be fun to say they were part of "Anonymous" in order to create a boogeyman for people to be afraid of, which worked for a while until everyone realized it was all bullshit. Today, the name has been co-opted by 14-year old gay left-wing anarchists who think they're part of some legendary revolutionary movement.
