Just like the SoyBooru Crisis, this event was precipitated by Vlodson (even though the Vlodson poster is also black)

The Brownocaust is an ongoing series of rangebans targeting certain third-world and second-world countries, with the aim of getting brown people off of the website. It is being enacted by Quote on /soy/, /qa/, and SoyBooru as of January 2026.

History

Pre-Crisis

Before the crisis even started, calls for rangebanning certain areas such as Brazil were increasing. Prevalent on SoyBooru and popularized by trevor, the increase of faggotry and coal was directly linked to Brazil and other third world countries.

Vlodson Crisis

On January 11, 2026, some 'teen on /soy/ began rallying people to vandalize all variant:vlodson 'ru tags to nas:vlodson. When jannies found out, all of the vandalism was reverted, the vandals were banned, and a Vlodson nameroll was added. The OP of the subsequent thread exposed himself as an Azerbaijani 'cord user with an Android tablet.

January 12

Brazil, Turkey, Mexico, Chile and Azerbaijan were rangebanned from /soy/ and /qa/ (some weren't banned from /qa/ though), with Brazil also being rangebanned from SoyBooru, and RTL polls finally passed 5 for the first time. Quote later stated that he did this because he was "racist and sick of brown people. Sick of brown people shitting up his country and sick of brown people coaling up his website" (still getting replaced, larper 💀💀💀) with a zellig toss embedded in the post. In the same thread some Chilean 'teen hypothesized "that the rangeban is only cause more problems" because it would lead to increased VPN usage on the sharty.

January 13

Quote expanded the scope of the rangebanned to include most of Latin America and parts of East Asia.

January 14

Following the rangebans, /int/ starts seeing an uprise in PPH, reaching up to 67 posts per hour(even doe it reached like 200). A chilean 'teen threatens to have Quote assassinated. Despite the bans being done to preserve quality of /soy/, faggotry on soy, unsurprisingly, continues.
