We all know that the Sharty administrator, Salt, has removed links to Booru and IRC due to concerns about hostile behavior and anti-Salt sentiment in those communities. The wiki currently maintains a neutral stance, but this may change. If you guys say so, but I should of probably told you guys earlier why I was concerned about salt. I heard from Salt after obtanining his email that he does not particaller care for the wiki and that it may be shut down by the end of month since it is only paid for by Quote until then since the booru and the wiki are still owned by him until then, in which case if he does not take them, they will most likely be shut down due to non payment. I was really upset about that, so out of frusteration I may of called him hostile a bit. From what I seen it looks like even the sharty teens were egging him on to JSID for some reason, so I kind of just lached out. I should of been more transparent about that, but I wanted to get it resolved with him before announcing it because otherwise that would of caused all of the teens here to go into crisis mode, and I did not want that. I even offred to run it on his behalf. But if that is what you guys truly want, I will remove the anti-salt stuff, like I said I wanted to be neutrual about it and let teens come to their own conclusion. Thats what I truly wanted. Anyways, it looks like I am not going to change his mind, so might as well pack up your bags. For the reminder that the wiki exists, I will give back control back to Cobblestone and ultimately announce why I been wanting to leave the sharty for a while even before that before teens attempted to dox me. Yes, I agree. The reason why we edit on this site is because we are documenting the soysphere. To be aligned to any one faction would undermine the journalistic integrity that makes this site a reputable source. Shutting this site down means burning down the library of Alexandria. My plan

I don't want to shut down the wiki, but I also don't want to take place in a useless nigger war even if the wiki gets removed from the topbar. I have plans for the wiki and I will make sure it is greatly expanded and revised. I also want @soyoyuki's help in turning this into a greater soysphere wiki that encompasses everything, including namefags and splinters. I also want to make sure it remains neutral, even for "saltists" vs "quotists". If we're going to no longer be the "official" wiki then the only way going forward is to cater to everyone (bare minimum would be, say, not being le pee dough), even swinnychunks will be welcome to come and document on this wiki.

I am going to bring back the namefag namespace after all. This might be hard to pull off with Quote MIA but I'll try, even coping with subpages if needed until then.
Less of a focus on "official" Sharty. I want to allow different splinters to use this wiki to document their SNCA, as long as it is well-contained as a subpage of the splinter's article, perhaps.
I will split the task of moderation from article curation. I want to make it so the editors have more of a say in the final opinion of an article, but with quality control. This quality control will probably come from a new class of editors I will create called "arbitrators." Basically, I want to promote a group of intelligent, unbiased, and reasonable editors who have the final say in edit wars and the final shape of an article. I'll try to promote people with different viewpoints (saltists, quotists, splinterchunk, and whatever the fuck else) as long as they are people who can genuinely read and make a valid judgement.
- Related to the topic above, I want better quality control for pedo and zoophile accusations. These are serious accusations and must all be substantiated. I feel like jannies haven't done a good job with this one. Probably my fault too though for not dealing with this earlier.
I will create concrete deletion guidelines to stop good articles from being removed or censored by overzealous jannies.
I will archive the wiki and save it locally in case Salt DOES try to JSID.
I might change the wiki rules to match Salt's vision a little bit more as long as we're still on the topbar.

Good idea, namefag pages were always a bit hard to deal with, especially with the majority of them being gigastubs, and a seperate namespace for them will allow for that better.

Pro tip: Always double-check everyone that openly admits they're a kzzycuck/chimneycuck. It's usually a good cover that 'corders give for themself so they can keep acting the way they usually do without raising any larger suspicion. Doe now that i think about it i don't think putting kzzycucks (atleast nukzzycucks, since their site is most likely 'cord-owned) and chimneycucks in positions of power like this would be a good idea. Shemmypitos would be the best limit for now, especially with their site being schrodinger's DNB, constantly either alive or dead 24/7 with no signs of any real stability.

What i did on SECApedia was force everyone to have atleast a singular citation when putting any serious allegations like pedophillia on someone's page. This was in like the last 2 weeks of the site so it didn't exactly get tested to the fullest but i think it worked pretty well.

Overall a decent plan. I'd suggest the phasing-out of the (SNCA) namespace aswell, since i personally believe is that all it does is create a need for useless redirects that otherwise would've been the articles themselves. This redirect hell also makes the article basically unsearchable if you forget to make a redirect for it in the (Main) namespace. I also don't really like how the articles in the (SNCA) namespace are being treated as "lesser", having their page rating revoked because "pages in this namespace don't deserve one", even if they're really good articles.

I wouldn't be so strict when it comes to stubs, as all pages will get filled in over time anyway, for example the "SNCA" page.

Not every page needs to be perfect immediately, most of the actual high-view count pages are high quality.

Should i port over the "Friendly Zone - Gray Area - Gray Area (No-Link) - Hostile Zone" categorization from SECApedia?

I would remaster this system a bit though, making all Gray Area sites be "No-Link" by default to accomodate the current rulesset.

Per the rules, you are not allowed to shill any site regardless of which category it is in.

Friendly Zone - (Unmarked on pages.)

Documentation & usage are allowed freely.

Example sites: Swinny, Shemmy, Realby

Gray Area - (Must be marked with a template.)

While usage is allowed freely, documentation may be hindered due to the requirement of link censorship, as the sites are considered questionable on a case-by-case basis.

Example sites: Kuzzy, Chinny

Hostile Zone - (Usually does not deserve a page, but if it does, it must be marked with a template.)

Usage of these sites VILL get you banned, and documentation (& mention) is almost always blocked.

Example Sites: No site that actually matters or has more than 10 PPD. We aren't losing much (nothing) by censoring these sites.

yes, I think that this is a good classification, especially if 'grey area' links are banned by default. Add a Manual of Style subpage that elaborates on conflicting templates and which ones should be kept when resolving said conflicts

Title. For instance {{GoodOver}} and {{Winraid}} could be considered conflicting templates since they have overlapping usecases in a way (both are for good things that are over) but Winraid is generally considered higher priority due to its more specific nature (successful raids) and having an additional purpose in summarizing why a raid was successful.

The page itself doesn't need to be anything fancy, just a list of templates that overlap in usecase (or could be confused for each other), explanations of their specific usecases, and which ones take priority when deciding which of them to have on a page.

Shouldn't documentation first and foremost distinguish them from each other doe? By establishing clearly what they are, when to be used, and if need be, when not to be used etc. I recently edited some grading documentation to distinguish Rust and Ruby for example. Since they're grouped together, it makes it easy to figure for the editor to pick the right one and the one they want. I saw your template, imo those should be pages similar to this example (2023 in Soysphere o algo), with a footer template that lists all the years (like the US example, simplified). Forbidden splinters

I know we're not allowed to document certain splinters like that one Jartypedo splinter, but should we have them be redirects to ACCESS DENIED so that they're not documented but it's clear to users that talking about them isn't allowed? I've been thinking about it recently and the thing is that we might have to allow documentation of some of the more popular Hostile Zone splinters, simply due to the fact that SNCApedia allows it, a site that everyone knows about and can freely link to in the entire shartysphere. For example i just saw someone link the 'ssy article.
