Uboachan, is an imageboard created somewhere back in 2009 by Desuchan regular Rozencrab for weebs that enjoy Yume Nikki. The site is usually has a PPH of 0, but its generally normal for conversations or threads that would've lasted for a day on 4chan or the Party to last for several months or even years. The site's activity is tracked in marge.moe (likely the reason for this page's existence).

Content[edit | edit source]

Uboachan originally launched with 13 boards, including but not limited to a board for each Yume Nikki character, a general Yume Nikki board, a /b/ equivalent, multiple boards for various types of media, and a meta board. Several other boards have been added since then, including a section called (NEET), which is home to the /hikki/ and /rec/ boards. While small in terms of user size, a lot of content has been created by Uboachan users over the years, including fangames, translations of different Yume Nikki manga, music, cosplay, and more You can also directly download the game Yume Nikki and its fangames on the site. Uboachan also has its own SoyBooru equivalent, Yumebooru. There is also a fairly well made section dedicated to fan translation for Yume Nikki manga's, but it hasn't been updated since 2022.

Troon population[edit | edit source]

Since September 14, 2020, 'hate speech' has been banned on Uboachan, including but not limited to 'sexism, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. This also includes humor, sarcasm, and slurs', to prevent them from being used as 'excuses'.[1] On Uboachan, there is a section called (NEET), which is home to the /hikki/ and /rec/ boards. These boards are for NEETs and Hikikomoris to discuss their lives, feelings, and offer each other advice. This section was created due to the strong Hikikomori aspect of Yume Nikki and the fact that many Uboachan users identify with the term. The boards were originally generally anti-NEET. Over time, however, it evolved to include an actual tranny general thread made by the owner "Seisatsu" himself, which has since been stickied.[2] The current staff, who have taken over Uboachan, fiercely protect this thread with their lives, despite it having no direct connection to Hikikomori or Yume Nikki, banning anyone, often publicly, who complains about it.

The tranny general in question.

Relationship with the Party[edit | edit source]

Uboachan's relationship with Party, while small and irrelevant, is generally quite negative. The two sites couldn't be more different. the Party is mostly made up of modern meme-posting teenagers and young adults, characterized by very short discussions with many replies and an extremely anti-troon stance. On the other hand, Uboachan is primarily composed of millennials, many of whom are OG oldfags who used early 4chan. They are fine with long, in-depth discussions that are small in terms of total replies, and many users, including the owner, are actual trannies.

Relationship with other sites[edit | edit source]

The userbase of Uboachan inhabits many other altchans and forums, including Sushigirl, Lainchan, and many others. When it was still up, Desuchan was often considered a parent chan, due to the creator of Uboachan coming from there.

Uboachan also has a wordfilter. Typing the word nigger will result in the site replacing it with ninja.
