Google and any search engine has blacklisted 1500chan from the search results as they requested in 2022 because of a foodist raid.

1500chan is Brazil's main imageboard. It was created in 2013, following BRchan's closure (April 19th of the same year) by former /b/ janny N., who gathered the former website's moderators and a small piece of the userbase. Thanks to 55chan and SFchan refugees (who migrated around 2020-2021), the site is very popular, and is similar to Nairaland as sometimes it crashes because of how popular some of the boards are. Its way of listing board links - all to the left - is more reminiscent to that of old 4chan than anything else.

BRchan was first founded as a board (/brchan/) on AnonIB in 2006 by Cogumetal after getting his ass banned everywhere including the 'cuck. Cogumetal promised to make a separate website but never happened, until R. (powerword: Rodrigo Ribeiro Miguele) did it ximself in that same year. Rodrigo's website, however, wasn't popular and barely moderated during night time, so its users left and created 55chan. BRchan's early userbase compromised of banned users from 55chan, but ended up succeeding the former after its shutdown in 2010 and its popularity spiked during that time. Rodrigo later shut down BRchan aswell in 2013 because of admin drama.

BRchan's domain was revived in 2015 by Kalinka. Dvach immigrants colonized Kalinka's website, turning it into a Russian colony. This caused a boycott from its userbase in 2018, but the PPH was already below 100, so nothing happened and Kalinka instead moved to Telegram. Suddenly, in 2025, failtrolls associated with the Kuzzy created a board on Endchan appropriating BRchan's name, while the owner false-flagged as the 2006 website creator. This revival in Endchan failed and the board is currently dead.

55chan

55chan was created by K. (powerword: Konrad Georg Ethiènne Scorciapino) in 2007 when BRchan's poor moderation became insufferable, and xe wanted a rulecucked website. Was Brazil's main imageboard once. A rogue janny blackmailed Konrad for having created a hidden CSAM board, so he shut the site down to avoid police investigations.

The imageboard came back in 2012 under the 55ch name, having been created by hitmonkey (powerword: Cauê Felchar) and Lontra. 55chan would become the main imageboard after BRchan's demise. Both owners were false-flagged by Psycl0n in 2015 and Cauê handed the site to Fowler, who turned the site into a latinx leftypol. In 2017, Lontra comes back as owner while Cauê left to create Brasil Paralelo. A succession crisis followed between Lontra and a janny, Godilson. The drama ended with both getting doxed, Godilson exposed as a fed, and the website being terminated in January 2021 after a supposed police threat.
