Edit War[edit source]

In the midst of an edit war, User:ArticleFactChecker moved Bury Pink Gril to User:FactChecker/Bury Pink Gril and then, trying to move it back, I accidentally moved it to User:Bury Pink Gril (and couldn't move it back). So, the whole thing is now a mess.

ArticleFactChecker claims that the article should be deleted because it's "tranime", but the subject has three pages of submissions on SoyBooru, making it just as relevant to soy culture as other tranime subjects like Petra and Ongezellig.--MoonMetropolis (talk) 16:35, 10 September 2024 (EST)

The script thing[edit source]

Were you able to figure out if that ED JS script would work? I think it has the functionality that I need. Sorry for the bother. Cobblestone (talk) 11:48, 18 December 2024 (EST)

Thanks a lot for adding the JS. Unfortunately I tested it out and it didn't work for some reason (e.g the A-B and C-D buttons on Portal:Soysphere should be links pulling up different content from Portal:Soysphere/Related Articles i feel bad about hounding you for this thing and it not working so if it's too much of a hassle i'll just work around it and have everything show up at the same time. side note, i dont know if this is useful but i discovered that the .js mentions a "hiddentext" css class that was defined here https://edramatica.com/MediaWiki:Common.css no idea if that's it though.
I just put that in our Common.css, try it now. --BananaSplit (talk) 11:36, 20 December 2024 (EST)

Request for Reinstatement of the /BP/ Oil Spill Page[edit source]

Dear BananaSplit,

I’m writing to clarify and respond to concerns regarding the deletion of the /BP/ Oil Spill page and the associated raid. Based on the evidence and discussions provided, I believe the decision to delete the page was unjustified and rooted in misunderstandings or bias.

First, it’s important to address the raid itself. This operation involved over 58 participants and targeted three boards: /DEM/, /BP/, and /leftysoy/. Two of these boards were completely wiped, making this a large-scale and highly coordinated effort. The event was documented in detail with an 8-hour stream, additional footage, screenshots, and a response video, all of which highlight the scale and significance of the raid.

The claim that this was an SNCA raid or related to Discord has been thoroughly disproven. The provided evidence, including video footage and screenshots, clearly shows there was no "cord" involvement. This narrative seems to have been perpetuated by individuals with a bias against CobsonTalks or by those who wanted to discredit the raid for personal reasons.

It’s also evident that the deletion stemmed from biased opinions rather than objective evaluation. The accusations of "false flagging" by those opposing the raid's documentation, particularly furry-aligned users and individuals from /BP/, have been thoroughly debunked. In fact, many of the editors advocating for the deletion have ties to groups that were directly impacted by the raid. This raises serious questions about impartiality.

This wasn’t a minor or low-effort operation. With two full wipes, significant exposure of /BP/ chat logs, and complete catalog domination, this raid achieved what few others have. For context, it surpasses many other documented raids on the wiki that remain published despite being less impactful. If those raids are considered noteworthy enough for documentation, the /BP/ Oil Spill page unquestionably deserves the same recognition.

Given the overwhelming evidence, the historical significance of the raid, and the clear bias that influenced the deletion, I respectfully urge reconsideration of the decision to remove the page. This isn’t about personal opinions or grudges—it’s about preserving an important and well-documented event in the community’s history.

If there are lingering doubts or additional concerns, I’m happy to provide further proof in the form of archived footage, screenshots, or logs. Let’s ensure decisions like this are made fairly and based on facts rather than unfounded assumptions or personal biases.

Thank you for your time. I hope we can resolve this constructively.

Sincerely,

--Hunter (talk) 20:25, 30 December 2024 (EST)

Regarding the Petra Article[edit source]

I would like to inquire as to why the Petra article was recently deleted and banned from the 'ki. Yes, Petra is brimstone, but it's still a significant footnote in Sharty history and, as such, it is certainly worth documenting on the wiki. There are countless other articles on here about even worse shit. Having an article on here is by no means an endorsement of the article's subject. Petra's unique awfulness, if anything, just makes it even more worthy of an article on here.--MoonMetropolis (talk) 15:26, 18 March 2025 (EST)

Fixed the Common.css thing. There was a Cloudflare rule designed for the sharty that was caching urls ending in .css for a month that was unintentionally affecting the wiki too due to it being a soyjak.st subdomain right now. BananaSplit (talk) 07:18, 31 May 2025 (EST)

Quote, if what people said is true, I know you're afraid of losing the Party domain to Froot if you demmod 9a0c. But I think most teens would rather stay on .st than to have Limeade continuosly ruining the site. When the vast majority of the userbase think a janny is terrible, it's better to let him go, otherwise it will drag down your own administration, even if Froot is that petty to do that (I doubt he is), you will still have more dignity and appreciation with the userbase than if you do nothing.--Carp (talk) 20:05, 10 August 2025 (EST)
I agree. Maybe we can "promote" him to something like an event manager instead, since his events are normally pretty gemmy. That way he is still staff, but without the Admin responsibilities. That way we can still keep the .party domain. Fenriris 🐺 00:20, 11 August 2025 (EST)

Syntax highlighting blocks and Pygments[edit source]

Reposting from User talk:Fenriris.

Any idea when we can get syntax highlighting blocks with Pygments on this wiki? We could greatly improve the style and appearance of code blocks here. For example, on Wikipedia there is

<syntaxhighlight lang="java">
public class Example {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        System.out.println("Hello world!");
    }
}
</syntaxhighlight>

But this does not work here. I think it is relevant as there are several articles on the wiki with code blocks, which are currently using verbatim blocks instead. ~Chud9081 (talk) 22:56, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

I keep getting permabanned for tame and or stupid reasons so I ban evade. how long before i get raped?[edit source]

i dont know if you'll check this and i dont really care if you take too long to see this but i just hope you see it someday

my first ban was on very late october because i made a thread on /soy2/ asking people to send me things to draw, and some nigga tricked me into drawing a banned variant. i didnt know about that variant at all. i got very confused when i was apparently part of a hostile group, and i thought that the jannies mixed up the wrong rule and i was supposed to get banned for spam (because i did post multiple versions of that variant multiple times, but i didnt intend for it to be spam i promise).

anyway, the rest of my bans have been because of posts i didnt even make. my first post was on /mtv/ talking about prog music and it was made on late october. the banned posts i've "made" were from 2 months ago. i am using a VPN so maybe thats why.

am i cooked for ban evading like this? it just takes too long for the jannies to check my appeal. i havent broken an actual rule so far besides that one banned variant i posted by mistake. do i just kill myself or something?
