Jannies on /vg/ are notoriously picky with which generals they pay attention to. Eastern game generals typically have jannies always on standby to instantly ban anyone breaking the rules. Western game generals, on the other hand, are cast off to the side, with reports there given lower priority compared to eastern ones. Sometimes porn can be left up for hours in a western game general, while it would be near-instantly deleted in an eastern game general. This does not apply to every general, of course. Some western generals have jannies always lurking, while some eastern generals are practically abandoned. This is just a good rule of thumb when looking for a good target on the board.

/vg/ is essentially a large cluster of individual microcosms of a given fanbase, and it is also by far 4chan’s largest and biggest board. So no individual trolling technique is guaranteed to apply to any of the dozens of generals present on the 'log. Each thread has its own history and catalogue of Namefags and autists, so any good 'teen should lurk the thread he intends to disrupt before acting. With that being said, there are at least a few general tips that will apply to most generals:

• If there's an argument going on about a namefag or avatarfag, play both sides. If most of the thread is against the namefag, support them unconditionally. If most of the thread supports them, do the opposite. Namefags, if present, almost always respond when addressed (because they are attention whores), and tend to trust anyone that is slightly charitable towards them. Use this to your advantage by having namefags pollute the thread along with you.
• Avatarfags impulsively use the same images in every new general thread, usually as part of an extensive post history. If you like, you can research them by looking up their avatars on the 'chives. By observing matching filenames, dimensions and MD5-hashes, you can order the 'za if they revealed too much about themselves in the past. Tripfags can be tracked in the same way, so you should always encourage other posters to become tripfags to this end.
• Pretend to be a namefag or avatarfag by stealing their images and mimicking their typing style. Remember to use their original filenames and MD5-hashes to make it even more convincing. The namefag may try to preempt your false flag by posting immediately after you (before your cooldown is up), so use this tactic sparingly or when the namefag is not currently in the thread. If it's a tripfag, copy the name portion exactly so that when other posters filter your name, they also filter the real tripfag's posts.
• Some generals have drawfags that will come around sometimes and take art requests from people. Pretend to be a drawfag and offer to take requests. Don't fulfill any of them. Bonus points if you specifically mention that you're taking NSFW requests and all the users give you weird fucked up fetish requests that are promptly ignored. When a real drawfag shows up, spam them with troll requests.
• Many posters use catbox.moe to share certain images with their thread buddies. Sometimes they'll post a few catbox links grouped together without any context, and most users will instinctively click on them expecting to see porn. Upload shock images such as the 'slot to catbox and post them unprompted. You can be even more convincing by saving a few actual porn links and placing them first in a series of links to trick them.
• Report anyone, especially namefags, for being off-topic when they're discussing something other than what the thread is about. This works best in generals with games that haven't had much content for a long time, as there are obviously less on-topic things to talk about. Make sure to report these posts on an IP that hasn't received many bans, as jannies are known to ignore IPs that have been banned multiple times. Jannies are more likely to respond to reports if it's a long-worded post, which can easily be farmed with political and namefag drama.
• Use deleted posts by the jannies as fuel for more drama. You can intentionally get your own posts deleted while pretending to be a namefag/avatarfag, or while playing a certain side, for example. Screenshot and cherrypick embarrassing posts and repost them at every opportunity, especially if related to a prominent namefag.

Individual generals

/5N@F/ - Five Nights at Freddy's General

This is one of the fastest Western game generals on the board. If you're looking for a lot of quick reactions and a lot of people to bait without Janny breathing down your neck, here's your place.

This is one of the worst generals on the board^{[there are no good generals]} Fortnite, being a giant bucket of slop filled with every franchise under the sun, thus attracts every fan of every franchise under the sun. And a lot of them end up here. Furries, faggots, tranime watchers, pedophiles all gather here to talk about the game they love post the latest shitty skin they impulse bought for $15.

Post any drama about Fortnite you can find. Most people don't know how to find Fortnite drama unless they're a 12 year old (you probably are if you're here geg) but common sources include X/Twitter and Youtube. If you've seen anything at all about drama, post it there and try to get a conversation going. Drama always leads to arguments.

"Leakers" are spurious third-worlders on X who post about what is upcoming in Fortnite. Virtually all of them are not actual leakers of sensitive information, but rather brown people hired by Epic Games (Fortnite's dev company) to advertise upcoming updates while pretending it's leaked info. If you don't have autism you will understand why this is a manipulative advertising tactic. Anyway, post leaks by literal who leakers with made up information. Source edit X posts of better-known leaker posts to contain fake info, screenshot it, then post it to waste everyone's time. HypeX and Shiina are good ones to start with since they are butthurt Argentinians and often just guess shit.

Post positively about the season. Disagree with whatever everybody else is saying, which is usually something negative since Fortnite has severely degraded in quality over time. Despite the excessive amount of gooners everyone there is still has really strong feelings toward the game, whether good or bad, because they actually play it. This is unlike most tranime generals, where you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who even has the game it's about downloaded.

Post convoluted and made-up free XP glitch guides, like saying jumping on a trampoline for 60 seconds gives you 10 thousand XP or something. Jewtube is full of this specific kind of slop since, once upon a time, Epic Games and their jeet programmers actually allowed such exploits to exist. All of them are patched but tricking children into clicking on these videos that lie to their face is lucrative. Post these videos and insist they actually work. If someone tries to say the trick doesn't work, start a 100 post argument about how they're just doing it wrong.

Most newer female skins have "nerfed" asses that don't tickle a lot of the gooner's fancy due to being too flat. This was done because Chun-Li (some shit Street Fighter crossover skin) appeared in fan-made PornHub videos shaking her ass at the camera, which made parents upset. Throw a fit about new skins not being goonable enough to rile up everyone else, or defend Epic Games by saying it's a game for children and as such should not have unrealistic and sexualized body types.

Accuse everyone who replies to you of being zoomer or mulatto. Not all of them are youngfags but they are absolutely all brown. Praise or disparage Lil Gayniggus (or whatever the latest slop Festival music collab artist is) based on thread sentiment.

Fortnite avatarfag reuses his in-game handle on zoosadism sites

Avatarfags are trolls trolling trolls trolling faggots who post excessive amounts of images of their favorite skin. This can take up as many as 300 posts of a 750 reply thread. Doing this is annoying in itself, but spam isn't creative and is just what gooners do by default. Call an avatarfag spammer a gooner who wishes they were a real woman. All of them belong to Discord groups, start drama over it. Start drama over any noticeable poster and pretend the thread would somehow be good if they didn't post anymore.

Criticize Fallout: New Vegas. Call it terrible, call it a game made for trannies, call it a game made for redditors, say that it's badly coded and buggy, say that the story is badly written, say that Fallout 3 is better, say that Fallout 4 is better, say that the gameplay is clunky and difficult, say that the leveling system is badly designed, say that the concept of item durability is annoying, say that it has some of the worst RPG mechanics in the series, say that the factions are poorly designed, say that Caesar's Legion is comically evil, say that people only like it because they don't like Bethesda, say that if a game needs mods to be good, it's not a good game, and say that the graphics make your eyes hurt and are much worse than other games released at and before it's time.

Tell people that post their OCs made with porn mods to leave and that they've ruined the general.

Praise the Fallout TV show, say that it's undeniably canon.

/sthg/ is one of the oldest generals on /vg/, and has an incredibly diverse catalog of retards you can bait into posting walls of text. Unlike most other generals, the main source of arguments on /sthg/ pertains to shipping, so any soyteens that would try and blend in with the local wildlife are advised to be wary of ingesting lethal doses of turbo nigger AIDS. The other main conflicts are arguments between the two factions of comicfags, those being Archieniggers and IDWtroons, as well as the generic East vs. West warring. The former requires severe autism to understand, so it should be no big deal for (You) geg. One other unique feature about /sthg/ is it's sizeable foid population, so Crystal Cafe trolling tactics may also apply here.

• Post Pooner fanart of male Sonic characters (very easy to find). Guaranteed seethe. Posting pooner Shadow art will rile up the local femcel TERF namefag, Krack.
  • Remind Krack that she is a middle school dropout.
• Aggressively insist that certain characters are transgender, such as Tails.
• Defend notoriously garbage games such as Sonic '06, Forces, or Sonic 4. Claim that 06 had "potential".
• Insist that Blaze is for Sonic, and post cuck fanart of Silver or Amy. This is guaranteed to completely derail the thread into shitflinging between shippers for at least 200 posts, even moreso if you spam art and falseflag as opposing sides to extend the argument.
  • Posting cuck art in general is a good way to rile characterfags up, ESPECIALLY Amyfags.
• Remind Archieniggers that Sally Acorn will never be canon.

Aggressively hate or defend new versions of the game.

Praise Valve for keeping the game alive and defend Valve by saying that TF2 doesn't have enough active players to warrant a major update.

Defend bot hosters for uniting the community or something like that.

Call the kunai unfair and broken for guaranteed seethe from Spy mains. They'll sometimes try to deboonk you by writing entire essays that boil down to muh spy being skill-based or whatever.

If you've played TF2 for any amount of time, you'd know one of the most dividing arguments in the community is about random crits. See where I'm going here? Get an argument about that started, it's easy.

Say the Meet Your Match update was good for the game. Feel free to look up what it was and why it was bad, but just saying it was good for no reason in particular will get a lot of oldcacas angry.

/utg/ - Undertale-Deltarune General

/utg/ has been left a wasteland by a severe lack of content combined with raids from at least one Discoal server, /v/, a leebaiter, and even a soyteen or two. The remaining 10 or so users that haven't fled to /trash/ are used to spam and raids and only use the general as a glorified chatroom, so there's barely even any discussion to interrupt via baiting or spam. If you want good reactions, I'd recommend raiding another general.

It's mostly filled with shitposters nowadays, so not a lot of bait that used to work will work anymore. There's still a few tactics, however.

Members of the server would frequently post bait on the general, all the while sharing Undertale 'P on their server, sometimes posting it to the general as well. It apparently shut down several years ago, but there's still some schizos on the general that will freak out whenever it's mentioned. Bring it up frequently, especially by calling any avatarfag you see an Underhaven member.

Pretend to be a /v/ tourist and complain about the game punishing you for self defense. Call people trannies if they try to deboonk you.
