"Soy" and "Soyjak" have for years also been used as slang words with negative connotations to describe anything or anyone that resemble the soyboy aesthetics.

Soy is a common theme in 'jak images for pretty obvious reasons, specially in posts about the classic Soyjak. Soy derivatives were regarded as accessories to add to your 'jaks and complement the theming, specially in replacing regular objects with soy versions. They were iconic culinary for 'jaks like Breakfast for dinner and Sproke. Eventually, soy iguaries became less common in tosses as the Soyboy archetype started falling out of public consciousness.

It's named after the cult classic movie Soylent Green (even though soylent is evil in the film, which means the makers of the real life equivalent lack heckin media literacy or whatever). It is a packaged hyper processed drink that's the most enjoyed by soyboys and the most widely used in soyjak posts, made by a company called Soylent Nutritions who specializes in "meal replacements". Its impact in soy culture cannot be overstated, becoming a household name and even turned into a female mascot. The most popular flavor being cocoa (or cacao), followed by mint, vanilla and cream chocolate.
