"Decent human being" is an oversaturated, nearly meaningless phrase used most notably by Redditors, liberals, and KiwiFarms users. It is one of many cop-out arguments used by retarded people when "backed into a corner" by logical arguments, instead opting to undermine their opponent's credibility by comparing them to an ideal nonexistent straw-man (the "decent human being"). It functions similarly to the moral high ground, a phenomena discovered by the honorable Lee Goldson after many years of practicing Massivefaggot-Jitsu in an unknown Chinese monastery with monks of the Reddit-Fu fighting style. The decent human being argument is known for being literally entirely baseless, as there is no way to define a "decent human being", and it would be better off replaced by a simple insult or by actually calling out flaws in someone's character. This is, in fact, why the argument thrives, as many of its users simply have literally nothing else going for their argument.
Another variant of this is the Decent Human Being Complex, usually a combination of self-righteous thinking and a superiority complex. It occurs when a person becomes obsessed with holding others to their own standards and ideas, often with little to no regard for nuance or even following these guidelines themselves. It is seen most in jannies or other annoying bureaucratic faggots, as this oft unchecked power allows oneself to play out power fantasies that a person may have, like finally getting their uncle to stop raping their butthole when they were a kid. This is a rampant disorder, and you should always remind one with DHBC to kill themselves as frequently as possible.
Midwits and amateur debate bros love to regurgitate this phrase whenever someone says something unwholesome, because they live in a hivemind and cannot compute that other people can have opinions that are different to theirs.
