oreos.party is an imageboard created on the 14th of November 2025 by a gempasser named Foot. It was originally made with the intention of giving Quote an excuse to ban FPE posters from /soy/^[Marge...], though Foot started liking FPE after interacting with its posters.

The vichan code it runs on has had many modifications, most notably changing the thread route to just "/board/code" for nicer looking URLs, making post numbers local to the thread and adding SSE thread updates instead of vichan's auto reload script. It also builds pages dynamically for lurkers and stores them in a Redis cache, instead of the way vichan does it by default of building a bunch of static html pages for every change and making the webserver serve them directly, meaning that certain people can be shown different versions of the same page.

History

The first iteration of the site was on a normie GUI "user-friendly" webhost and it was extremely glitchy due to Foot's very broken implementation of MPA. It stayed like that for a few months until the site's owner met GillKoyim who suggested him a better hosting provider, and then was granted ssh access on the new VPS and deployed his modified vichan code.

Booru

The site has its own booru with about 150 posts as of May 7, 2026, though it is somewhat broken due to Foot being extremely inactive and not giving his developer backend access to it. It went offline for a few days because he didn't remove the [img][/img] BBCode which allows you to embed images from anywhere and someone used it to spam DNB and report the site.
