The Soycrisis was a crisis in October, 2024 in which all of the websites "in communion" with the Sharty were temporarily shut down, with only Soyjak.blog and the IRC being accessible to soyteens in despair.

Causes

The crisis was caused by Froot not paying the server bills because he spent the money to fund his galaxy gas addiction. After being called a greedy kike by everyone and lots of begging from soyteens who couldn’t go a day without the Sharty, and Jannies trying to desperately get in contact with him, he would eventually wake up from his galaxy gas trip and scrounge up enough money to reopen the servers. Froot would later claim that he failed to pay because he entered his credit card number wrong. Afterward, he did an AMA for the event on the schlog and said that he was also away from home while drugged out of his mind and shieet,, hence why he took so long to fix it.

Snopes stated that this is the most accurate ‘toss to show what happened in the soycrisis.

Impact

The episode generated even more hate for Froot. He was called an incompetent bitch, and his approval ratings tanked. On those days, many soyteens sought refuge in the IRC chat and posting on splinters for their daily soy-like activities. The schlog was also used for this same purpose, with new users joining and some who were inactive for months posting again, alongside new guests and guest posts. This caused the schlog to set a record for the highest daily post count in its history up to that point.
