On this page you will see soyjaks created before the Swedish Win that for some reason did not have potential or simply didn't have enough characteristics that make them IAS.

Hipster Wojak

On October 10, 2012; during a thread on /mu/ discussing about quitting smoking, a wojak with nu-male qualities was posted followed by a gemmy greentext that makes fun of smokers that get cucked. The mug's snarky text suggests "you say this and look like this" rather than a self-insert.

(The filename of the image has UNIX timestamp suggesting it was downloaded from elsewhere. Meaning that this MAY or NOT be the origin at all)

Probably the first proto-soyquote posted.

An earlier instance of the Hipster Wojak can be found by searching the image hash on 4plebs(The actual image is broken, thoughever). Since the UNIX timestamp from the /mu/ post converts to January 5, 2012 and the earliest post from 4plebs is on January 10, 2012, this still might not be the earliest instance of the Hipster Wojak.

Le nodding man

On August 24, 2014; a traced image of a twitter user was posted on a /pol/ thread regarding GamerGate. Though NAS, the image has tracejak-like qualities and references a meme that was used to make fun of men (such as the twitter user in question) who would later be described as nu-males or soyboys. The image may have been created some time before this date.

Cyclist Nu-Male Wojak

On March 20, 2015; an image of a cyclist wojak with stubble and glasses was posted randomly on a /tv/ thread and never posted again. The image contains very soy greentext.

On September 7, 2017; an edited comic strip about photographing an object featuring a soyboy (then refered as a "nu-male") was posted on /pol/ by a Croatian; the way it's drawn suggests it's a trace of an actual photo, suggesting this might be one of the earliest tracejaks.

Soyboy Merchant

On November 12, 2017; an edit of happy merchant was posted on /pol/ by an Italian; seven minutes later it was reposted with almost the same caption on /r9k/ . It has all features of a 'jak aside from being bald, and more crucially, is not antialiased and has crispy lines. The filename is ixSdAMb.png, suggesting it might've originated from Imgur; however, this is red herring as searching for that filename shows images of an unedited merchant posted years prior. This variant received moderate usage, being posted 669 times, out of which 141 happened before the Swedish Win, also seeing an usage in an early "virgin vs chad" meme .

Crying Wojak with a stubble

On November 18, 2017; a post from a thread on /pol/ discussing about soy boys, an image under the filename "these are actually tears of soy" shows a crying wojak with a stubble and a text making fun of nu-males appearance. This wojak only has one characteristic that makes xim IAS, the stubble.

Soylent Wojak

On November 19, 2017; a thread on /v/ starring a wojak with glasses, a stubble, a blue flat cap and a soylent bottle, (soy)quotes that visual novels are not video games. This wojak presents all the characteristics that makes xim IAS but one was missing, the open mouth.

/v/ fags seethed so hard the thread reached bump limit.

Smug Soy Boy Wojak

On December 1, 2017; a post from /r9k/, an image of a smug wojak with glasses, side parted haircut while drinking soy milk appeared. This wojak was often posted back then but forgotten over time. (The filename of the image has UNIX timestamp suggesting it was downloaded from elsewhere. Meaning that this may or not be the origin at all and I am not going to research more onto this because... I'm a selfish little fuck. OK?)

Soy Boy Fedora Lord Brainlet Wojak

On December Dec 9, 2017; a post from a /v/ thread with brainlet wojaks an image of what seems "a wojak" with a very descriptive filename was posted. You can see why it never caught on.

So brimmy it probably does not even deserve recognition.

Examples in popular media

SpongeBob SquarePants

In a season 3 episode of Spongebob called "New Student Starfish", where Patrick is taken to Spongebob's boating school. A scene is shown where Patrick draws The teacher 'Miss Puff' as a Big Fat Meanie, this crude depiction is complete with an arrow pointing to the drawing. Miss Puff sees the drawing and yells "AS IF I REALLY LOOK LIKE THIS?!" and takes the drawing away.

This can be considered a form of Proto-Soyjakking, or even a Proto-Slopjak as the drawing also depicts feces next to Miss Puff.

Adventure Time

In some Adventure Time episode, Finn draws a sigil on a wall that resembles a soyjak, having glasses, an open mouth, bald head and stubble. This drawing opens a portal into Niggerhell or so I've seen^{[it just is, ok?]}. This face is actually a recurring visual gag, appearing in over two dozen episodes and is actually based on an IRL Soyboy. The portrayal of a proto-soyjak being used for magical purposes or as a demonic sigil lend further evidence towards the theory that the creation of a 'jak and whether something is considered IAS is deeply rooted in the occult.
