Soyjak.party

But it is slowing down drastically, which may lead to it being OVER.

Soyjak.party, also known as the Party ('arty), the Sharty, Snarky.snappy, the o algo community, the shitty, very rarely as the Streety,[c] and as the main site on other Soysphere sites, is an anonymous English-language imageboard website primarily dedicated to the creation and posting of soyjak memes, as well as datamining its users.[MEDS. NOW.] The website and its affiliated websites have served as the de facto home of soyjak culture ever since the locking of 4chan's /qa/ board in 2021. It may be the most influential imageboard in modern times.
The imageboard is considered a Soyjak-themed spinoff of 4chan, with the website's UI being very similar to 4chan's. It runs on a heavily modified version of an open-source PHP-language imageboard software known as Vichan (a fork of Tinyboard), its former owner, Quote, was planning to move it to an in-house software called Nusoi, written in Go, but that never ended up happening.
The Sharty has switched ownership multiple times throughout its existence. Six separate people have been confirmed to have owned the website: Soot, Kuz, Doll, Froot, Quote, and the current owner, Salt. There have been more administrators alongside the owners, but an exact number cannot be calculated due to several administrators being theorized to be alter egos of other administrators.
According to Quote, the site "isn't worth more than $500".[1][2] According to the site's current developer, Mustard, SoyBooru (the booru website officially affiliated with the Sharty) has overtaken the Sharty in activity in 2026 not long after its "Nuuru" UI update added a forum feature.
Founding
[edit | edit source]soyjak.party was founded by an individual known as Soot, who announced the creation of the site on /qa/ (4chan) on September 20, 2020, with the post[3] reading:

Basedjak.party
Basedjaks must be in every thread

According to Soot, he created the imageboard "as a simple joke" and did not expect it to go far.[4]
History
[edit | edit source]
Main article: Portal:Soystory
Soyjak.party has a very extensive history. It is HIGHLY recommended you read up on it before you start posting. The site's population generally disdains offsiters. As such, new users are often required to blend in with the existing populace.
Rules
[edit | edit source]- You must be 18 years or older to use this site.
- You will not upload, post, request, or link to content that puts the site at risk, including but not limited to:
- Child abuse

- Credible threats of violence
- You will not post the following types of content intended to harm other users or their browsing experiences:
- IP grabbers
- Malware
- Text formatting abuse that slows down browsers
- Unless explicitly relevant to the discussion at hand, you will not upload pornographic content.
- Goatse and cado are exceptions to this rule.
- When the content is relevant, it must be marked as NSFW or it will still be considered inappropriate.
- Attempts to circumvent this rule by starting discussions about porn (e.g. "Post porn ITT") will not fly.

Basic info
[edit | edit source]- The link soyjak.party no longer works; use soyjak.st instead.
- You’re not supposed to actually put emails into the email field. A post will automatically go up to the top of page 1 when you reply to it. Put “sage” to cancel this effect, or put “supersage” to move it down if it’s on page 1. You can also use “bump”, but its purpose is something soyteens can’t even reach a consensus on.
- Only 300 posts can exist on a board at the same time. There are a limited number of pages, and if a thread goes long enough without being bumped, it will drop off the end and WILL BE LOST FOREVER.
- All threads will eventually die and be pruned, but you can use archiving sites to see a snapshot of them before their demise. It’s recommended to use multiple archives; we were blacklisted on the Wayback Machine and we don’t want our history to be wiped like that again. Megalodon is the best one because it archives the fastest and the jannies are less likely to ban the Sharty because they are Japanese and don't understand English.
There is no way to search posts or replies.THERE IS, BUT NOPHONO USES IT.- If you see a special form or color of text and don’t know how to create it, look at the font cheat sheet.
- You can post images from SoyBooru by using [thumb]postID[/thumb]. The booru image also appears big on the catalog.

Culture
[edit | edit source]- See also: Soyical Arts
Soyjak.party has a culture composed of many aspects, including:
- Raids: Coordinated events where users flood other forums or platforms with Soyjaks, often for humorous or chaotic purposes. These raids are a form of online trolling, aimed at disrupting discussions and creating gems, or just fucking over and/or doxing criminals.
- Soy Speak: A constructed international auxiliary language spoken mainly on the Party and formerly on /qa/
- Soy Dueling: A popular competitive event in which two or more posters continuously quote each other with various Soyjaks and escalating amounts of green arrows.
- Lorekeeping: An extensive and enduring body of lore for the "Soyjak Cinematic Universe", maintained through activities such as writing adventure threads, or keeping tabs on the Mental Asylum patients.
Reception
[edit | edit source]As Soyjak.party is literally the party itself, all true and honest soyteens love it. Without Soyjak.party, there would be no soysphere at all, and many gems would never have been created.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Soyjak.party was originally used as a bunker by users who got banned from 4chan's /qa/
- It is the second-largest English speaking imageboard.[it just is, ok?]
- The site's culture has strongly influenced the internet, with awards, soyjaks, and certain soyspeak being used casually on other websites.
- The Sharty regularly has events (You) can partake in.
- The site's catchphrase "Nothing is beyond our reach" is taken from the NROL-39 Space Mission's emblem, which the Sharty's emblem is also based upon.[5]
- The site currently has its domain registered in São Tomé and Príncipe, Africa, as it operates the .st ccTLD.

- ↑ Some people started calling the site "the Streety" after the URL changed from "soyjak.party" to "soyjak.st", though it never really caught on. Also nobody says this.
