Template talk:Variants

Unfortunately I can't get the positioning right and it looks coaly when I try to actually put it in articles, so I'll leave this for now. I was trying to imitate the this article is part of a series on X sidebar style from the 'ipedia. --Gigachad (talk) 20:38, 16 November 2022 (MST)

Should it look like Template:Cancer?

I feel like the 1000 booru post requirement to be a "main variant" isn't very good for the long term. With enough time tons of soyjaks variants are probably going to reach at least 1k posts without actually being considered a main variant.

soytan is nas[edit source]

put it on the nas category o algo Soob37438 (talk) 14:16, 14 June 2025 (EST)

even THOUGH it's considered IAS in the 'ru GapeNewell (talk) 14:19, 14 June 2025 (EST)

Could anyone add Mulletjak to this?[edit source]

Yep, and also to the main portal. Thanks in advance. Gempasta (talk) 23:53, 24 July 2025 (EST)

Is there anything else that should be added to this?[edit source]

For instance, I don't really know if Uncjak is really worth added to this but I was wondering what others thought. Same with Shabbosjak and some other nuvariants. IronEcho (talk) 02:19, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

phones[edit source]

this template looks fucked up on my phone, or is it just me? Cobblestone (talk) 21:14, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Subvariant organization[edit source]

I think it’d be useful to organize Subvariants on the template via the variant they’re derived from. Not sure how subvariants derived from 2 or more variants would look, I was thinking that they appear in each variant category they take from, although some may find that redundant and cluttered. Any thoughts? <reddit space Here’s an example for how it could be formatted: Variant 1: Subvariant 1 ♦️ Subvariant 2 ♦️ Subvariant 3 ♦️ Variant 2: Subvariant 1 ♦️ Subvariant 2 ♦️ Subvariant 3 —-Wormtacks (talk) 19:15, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

I like the idea, but as you mentioned with ones derived from multiple 'jaks will cause issues, the only way I could imagine doing that is with a flow chart of some sort as on Soyjakology/Chart. Maybe it could be condensed to work, but idk. 〜 MarketPliers (leak here) 19:19, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
I have an idea, perhaps there can be a little icon (or multiple for the problem mentioned) of the parent variant next to the subvariant.

Add these[edit source]

Cigson, Neckbeardjak, Stu, Policejak, Fatfurplier, Thps_soyjak, Pillsjak, Oranjak, Eric Butts, Kai_Cenat Cigson Neckbeardjak Stu Policejak Fatfurplier Thps_soyjak Pillsjak Oranjak Russojak Pavloujak Medsjak Eric Butts Kai_Cenat -- 我们之中 11:33, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

requesting some changes[edit source]

add Marney to common variants and move Casnatus, Darkiplier, Epsteinjak, Ignatius, Mameson, Mentaljak, Phillip, Sloppy, Volcanojak, Uglyfuckingthing and Zoomer on computer to common variants since they all recently hit 100 posts also move 'ojak to miscellaneous and move Excited Soyjak to main variants since it hit 1000 posts --Vix (talk) 18:53, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

I would also suggest moving Britson to the common variants section, and perhaps adding Rotjak and Scientolojak also as common variants (with them having as of this writing: 101, 139, and 153 posts on the 'ru respectively), as they now are in the hundreds (then again there are some nuvariants and such here that arent on the template itself). Again, a suggestion, doesnt need to be guaranteed. --Pokusa (talk) 04:00, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Vlodson doesn't "feel" like a main variant[edit source]

He may have 1212 posts on the 'ru but he doesn't feel or look like a main variant, also please don't cause a eurocaust because of my opinion. AlfietheShittyEditor (talk) 11:47, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

I think we should increase the "main variant" point of entry to 5000 or something. Nut (talk) 03:49, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
