Soyjak.party, also known as the Party, the Sharty, and the 'arty, among countless other names, is an anonymous English-language imageboard website primarily dedicated to the creation and posting of soyjak memes and datamining.[TAKE YOUR MEDS!] It may be the most influential imageboard in modern times.

The imageboard is considered a Soyjak-themed spinoff of 4chan, the website's UI being very similar to 4chan's, and runs off of a heavily modified version of an open-source PHP-language imageboard software called Vichan (a fork of Tinyboard), though Quote is planning to move it to an in-house software called Quotechan, written in Go.

The Sharty has switched ownership multiple times throughout its existence. There are five separate people who have been confirmed to have owned the website: Soot, Kuz, Doll, Froot, and the current owner Quote. There have been more administrators alongside the owners, but an exact number cannot be calculated due to several administrators being theorized to be alter-egos of other administrators.

The site costs ~Β£70 per month (Or $93.41 if you're a Retarded Burger) to operate.[1]

Founding[edit | edit source]

Where it all started.

The party was founded by an individual known as Soot, who announced the creation of the site on /qa/ (4chan) on September 20, 2020, with the post reading:[2]

> made a shitty imageboard, basedjak.party

basedjaks must be in every thread

<

According to Soot, he created the imageboard "as a simple joke", and did not expect it to go far.[3]

History[edit | edit source]

Main article: Portal:Soystory

Soyjak.party has a very extensive history. It is HIGHLY recommended you read up on it before you start posting. The site's population generally disdains offsiters. As such, new users often are required to blend in with the existing populace.

Rules[edit | edit source]

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE PAGE

The rules of soyjak.st forbid uploading/requesting/linking to animal abuse, illegal content, and pedophilic content, including pedophillic jokes. Advertisement is usually forbidden, especially for hostile offsite communities. The site is 16+, but you must not post NSFW content unless the board’s description starts with 18+, or if your NSFW content happens to be a certain mukbanger’s rectum.

Basic info[edit | edit source]

  • The link soyjak.party no longer works; use soyjak.st or thenazinetwork.com instead.
  • You’re not supposed to actually put emails into the email field. A post will automatically go up to the top of page 1 when you reply to it. Put β€œsage” to cancel this effect, or put β€œsupersage” to move it down if it’s on page 1. You can also use β€œbump”, but its purpose is something soyteens can’t even reach a consensus on.
  • Only a few hundred posts can exist on a board at the same time. There are a limited number of pages, and if a thread goes enough time without being bumped, it will drop off the end and WILL BE LOST FOREVER.
  • All threads will eventually die and be pruned, but you can use archiving sites to see a snapshot of them before their demise. It’s recommended to use multiple archives; we were blacklisted on the Wayback Machine and we don’t our history to be wiped like that again. Megalodon is the best one because it archives the fastest and the jannies are less likely to ban the Sharty because they are Japanese and don't understand English.
  • There is no way to search posts or replies.
  • If you see a special form or color of text and don’t know how to create it, look at the font cheat sheet.
  • You can post images from SoyBooru by using [thumb]postID[/thumb]. The booru image also appears big on the catalog.

Boards[edit | edit source]

Before posting, lurk for a little bit to fit in better, and read the basic info and the full rules.

Culture[edit | edit source]

See also: Soyical Arts

Soyjak.party has a culture composed of many aspects, including:

  • Raids: Coordinated events where users flood other forums or platforms with Soyjaks, often for humorous or chaotic purposes. These raids are a form of online trolling, aimed at disrupting discussions and creating gems;
  • Soy Speak: A constructed international auxiliary language spoken mainly on the Party and formerly on /qa/;
  • Soy Dueling: A popular competitive event in which two or more posters continuously quote each other with various Soyjaks and escalating amounts of green arrows;
  • Lorekeeping: An extensive and enduring body of lore for the "Soyjak Cinematic Universe", such as writing adventure threads, or keeping tabs on the Mental Asylum patients.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • soyjak.party was originally used as a bunker by users who got banned from 4chan's /qa/
  • It is the second largest english speaking imageboard[it just is, ok?]
  • The site's culture has strongly influenced the internet, with awards, soyjaks and certain soyspeak being used casually on other websites.
  • The Sharty regularly has events (You) can partake in.
