Archive links exist because pages need sources. If you can't provide an archive link then you can't have sources. It's not advertisement because nobody cares and won't join when they see a link. You deleted Discord_Rapeson.png because it's an image that could get you banned from the Sharty. But can't the exact same thing be said about countless other images on the 'ki? It's really a matter of what context they're being used in. This is a Soysphere archive, and that image has been a staple on Soysphere sites for years now (the purpose of the image is to mock cordpedos, after all). Maybe we can compromise between the articles that are seen as "advertisements" but still fit the purpose of the wiki. One idea I had was to move stuff like that to a subpage or a special category where users can still find them without cluttering the mainspace or suggesting endorsement. Gemming up all existing templates

Just so you are aware because this is a pretty big change, and a project, but I plan on revising all templates and adding the /doc subpage with <templatedata>. This will improve visual editor compatibility to make it easier for visual editor gods to insert and understand templates.

Right now for pretty much all of them, they dont integrate very well with the visual editor. This should also improve existing template documentation.

you VILL add this MediaWiki extension I made

I read up on mediawiki and made an extension to play SWFs that have been uploaded to the 'ki.
It is immune to cross site scripting, unlike the other Flash extensions which got deleted from mediawiki for user input directly to the browser.
Just download and extract the zip and put this in your local settings: require_once "$IP/extensions/SWFPopup/SWFPopup.php";
Add this to any wiki page: <swf>File:Flash.swf height=266 width=474</swf> and you click the link and it opens in a popup.
Of course, you should do the same network traffic and link opening blocking that the sharty does. You can just add the sharty's ruffle configuration to the ~~Common.js file~~ popup html that gets generated inside the JS file when a flash link is clicked.
