A biogeographic realm or a biosoygraphic realm is one of the biogeographic divisions of the Earth's land surface based on the distributional patterns of terrestrial organisms such as animals and plants. They are subdivided into le hecking bioregions which are subdivided into ecoregions o algo. Biogeographic realms classify places where people live.

Description

[edit | edit source]

The realms delineate large areas of Earth's surface within which organisms have evolved in relative isolation over long periods of time, separated by geographic features, such as oceans, broad deserts, or high mountain ranges, that constitute natural barriers to migration. As such, biogeographic realm designations are used to indicate general groupings of organisms based on their shared biogeography. Biogeographic realms correspond to the floristic kingdoms of botany or zoogeographic region of zoology.

From 1872, Alfred Russel Wallace developed a system of zoogeographic regions, extending the ornithologist Philip Sclater's system of six regions.

Biogeographic realms are characterized by the evolutionary history of the organisms they contain. They are distinct from biomes, also known as major habitat types, which are divisions of the Earth's surface based on life form, or the adaptation of animals, fungi, micro-organisms and plants to climatic, soil, and other conditions. Biomes are characterized by similar climax vegetation. Each realm may include a number of different biomes. A tropical moist broadleaf forest in Central America, for example, may be similar to one in New Guinea in its vegetation type and structure, climate, soils, etc., but these forests are inhabited by animals, fungi, micro-organisms and plants with very different evolutionary histories.[citation needed]

The distribution of organisms among the world's biogeographic realms has been influenced by the distribution of landmasses, as shaped by plate tectonics over the geological history of Earth.

Realms

[edit | edit source]

According to Miklos Udvardy's system, there are 8 biogeographic realms, the Nearctic, Palearctic, Neotropical, Afrotropical, Indomalayan, Australasian, Oceanian, and Antarctic realms, and all have their unique traits and quirks. The Palearctic and Nearctic are sometimes grouped together as the Holarctic realm, or the Holaryan realm.

Palearctic realm

[edit | edit source]

The Palearctic realm, also known as the Eurasian realm, or the Palearyan realm, is the world's largest biogeographic realm, it consists of the bulk of Eurasia and a part of Northern Africa, home to a diverse range of animals and plants, the realm is a pure Aryan beauty (even though there are sandniggers and chinks living there too).

Nearctic realm

[edit | edit source]

The Nearctic realm', also known as the North American realmor the Nearyan realm, consists of Greenland and most of North America, reaching all the way down to the drylands of Mexico, was previosuly a center for redskins before Aryan settlers moved and came.

Afrotropic realm

[edit | edit source]

The Afrotropic realm, also known as the Nigger realm consists of Sub-Saharan Africa and is the birthplace of niggers, here, its a literal jungle where everyone behaves like chimpanzees.

Neotropic realm

[edit | edit source]

The Neotropical realm, also known as the South American realm, or the Latinx realm, consists of Central and South America and is populated by Latinxes. It is quite literally a jungle, housing the world's largest rainforest.

Austrlasian realm

[edit | edit source]

The Australasian realm houses people from down under, where the marsupials gather around to jump all around like kangaroos n shieet.

Indomalayan realm

[edit | edit source]

Also called the Pajeet realm, or the SEAmonkey realm, this biogeographic realm is characterized as smelling horribly bad, and has a lot of jeets and jartycuck shitskin gooks. It has the greatest population of jartycucks of each realm.

Oceanian realm

[edit | edit source]

Quite literally an empty ocean full of useless islands.

Antarctic realm

[edit | edit source]

Basically a snow realm, nothing but penguins walking in the snow.
