Nowadays, the term "foodist" has been completely deranged from its original meaning, and is used in the Salt-era Sharty to refer to anyone doing anything even slightly edgy, like posting gore. "Foodists" can also be used as a catch-all term for failtrolls, because failtrolls hate being recognized as the wrong larp group.

Foodists initially started out as a raiding, trolling and LARP group founded by it's creator, KY5, who while not pedophilic, is an immoralnigger responsible for allegedly getting a Gacha Life player to commit suicide.[10] In their early days, it was initially branded as the "Homophobia Army". This would eventually be proven to be a lie, as many foodists (specifically Neo-Foodists) were later proven to be faggots. It would primarily target Gacha Life players and mentally retarded people in it's early days by means of Discord raiding and doxing.[10] It would quickly become a pro-pedophilia group after an actual terrorist pedophile from COM groups, Reginmyre would join the group.[11]
At one point they targeted Dream fans, and Mr. Beast fans by spamming retarded shit in their comments and uploading literal PowerPoint slideshows.[12] Unfortunately these would also garner them HEAVY amounts of attention because cacas and autists don't know any better.[13] These accounts were tagged with "RLM" or "MLM" (haha, get it? it means that roblox and minecraft players are niggers because it's a BLM parody o algo).[14][15] These accounts are confirmed to be foodist, as they would have connections to KY5, and the RLM owner would eventually be spotted in a UTTP discord server years later (specifically a pedophilic UTTP server). Though many of these may just be autists themselves, and some of them can simply be a part of the YCS community which just so happened to have connections to foodists.
The group would eventually end up targeting the UTTP, and AFF during Gachafall, this would around the time where the group started becoming explicitly pedophilic. Around 2020 and early 2021, they'd mostly resort to YouTube comment spam with a namefag "Logan Floor/Roof", by making fun of dead people or animals.[16][17]
The actual foodist group would be formed on July 15th, 2021 after a discord call between Prodisty, Kai Gallagher and Daniel Bowler, where Foodistzen first used the term "foodist".[18] Ever since then, they have been engaging in the aforementioned activities.
After foodist activity had increased around 2021-2022, the Malagasy Clay Eaters (MCE) group would be created by 3 foodists, MelaM, Matt, and OJSneedson.[19] There is no real difference between MCE and foodists other than the fact that they used the clarty first, and that they OJSneedson would later on end up creating clay.party around October/November of 2022, a largely irrelevant foodist doxing forum, which would also double as a place for distributing illegalcontent.[20] The site would be shut down for good around 27th February of 2023. It would later be revived as Skibidfarms, which is why SF/NLP era foodists are often called "Neo-foodists".
Due to discord drama in the foodist 'cord, Savetion would end up splintercucking and made his own 'cord, Emoji man, another foodist, was known for being autistic and immature, and would also be kicked out, he would end up joining savetion's faction. The clarty would also attract attention from what appears to be federal agents. Due to this, the group would disband.[21]
From 2024-2025, foodists became largely irrelevant and went into hiding.
Foodists were first discovered by the sharty around 2022, when their site, the clarty was shilled on the site and was discussed in the Kiwifarms thread.[22] Ever since then, foodists have been plaguing the sharty with 'p spam.
The foodists were officially disbanded in April 2023 by their leader Foodistzen after xhe decided to take the self-improvement pill and become religious (blatantly false) and also got interrogated by the FBI for apparently posting school shooting threats, and possession of CSAM. The head admins, Prodisty/DFM and Necrotron aka femfurry (who are both unironic weebautists, furfaggots, and self-admitted pedophiles from QAfe and QAfe revivals) have posted broken sharty references onto their now inactive 'tube channels, indicating interest in shilling their 'cord garbage on the site, such us posting a poll asking if "the Cobson meme is brimstone n****r coal" with the only two voting options both being "It is". Posting the "averi" fox, posting twitter-esque soyjaks and chudjak memes with the discord font text, etc. decided to form their own server that interacts with some of the soycords,[23][24] and Foodistzen still shares a server with a similar failtroll, Sam/Lance Lakehunt.[25] As a result many 'cord users still identify as foodists to this day. It's also rumoured that they engage in "unironic diaper furry roleplay" on their 'cord servers.
It goes without saying that they are indeed 'cord offsiters who don't care about soy culture and just see the site as a means of recruiting vulnerable users who don't know any better onto their 'cord servers in order to groom them, and will not hesitate in pretending to be soyteens and using sharty memes as a means of achieving their "goals" aka grooming.
Sadly, foodists have a long running history of being associated with Soyjak.party. Experts have pointed out how foodists are basically everything outsiders think the sharty is: they're literal children who unashamedly post 'p while doxing nobodies and (failing to) raid sites. This similarity has made jarty users to accuse the Sharty of being irredeemably infested with foodists.
Neo-foodists is a term used to refer to foodists who joined after Foodistzen retired around April 2023. They cannot be called "foodist" as the original group has disbanded and are seen as more of a successor group, specifically, Hutucord is seen as the original neofoodist group. Many neofoodists are participants in Soycords, Skibidi Farms and its splinters, imageboards dedicated to soycords/BMT, wikis related to the edgesphere.
