Damage control is a set of strategies adopted by pathetic losers in an attempt to mitigate some kind of nonsense or a repugnant/controversial action. Damage control generally aims to reduce negative consequences, preserve reputations, and ideally convince others that the mistake wasn’t that serious or wasn’t told the way it actually happened.

Types of damage control[edit | edit source]

  • Preventive damage control: Occurs before the problem even exists. It consists of phrases like “anything I say here can be taken out of context,” usually said moments before saying something that doesn’t need to be taken out of context to sound stupid.
  • Reactive damage control: The most common type. Happens after the mistake and involves classic measures like deleting posts, pretending nothing happened, or using overused excuses like “I’m sorry if YOU misunderstood” (a classic strategy to subtly shift the blame onto the reader), carefully constructed to avoid admitting absolutely anything. It may or may not rely on vague wording to remain ambiguous without addressing the allegations.
  • Evasive damage control: Based on avoiding the problem until it magically disappears on its own. Includes disappearing from social media, “taking time to reflect,” “taking time to focus on mental health,” “taking time to get treatment,” or whatever mediocre excuse your favorite tranny pedophile Minecraft YouTuber comes up with.
  • Offensive damage control: Involves blaming others and redirecting all responsibility from the perpetrator to other people or external factors, sometimes even completely reinterpreting the situation until the original version sounds like a schizophrenic episode. This is often the excuse used by pedophiles when they blame things like EPI or other people for being criminal, disgusting, degenerate pigs.
  • Creative/Jewish damage control: Characterized by using the problem as a form of self-promotion to make the audience feel the situation isn’t as serious as it seems—such as turning the mistake into marketing, an inside joke, or anything else about oneself in order to monetize the crisis and ease the collective conscience about the error.
  • Massive damage control: Applied in critical situations, usually by influential figures or those with a wide network of contacts. Includes measures such as PR teams, heavy use of bots and algorithms, extreme vilification of those who disagree or express outrage, and frequent use of the phrase “we are taking the appropriate measures.” A classic example of this would be GamerGate, where anyone calling for Zoë Quinn’s head on a platter🗝️ was labeled a “heckin' misogynist,” turning a genuinely outraged online movement into something portrayed by the media as a harassment campaign.
