What are we gonna do about the fact that Salt allows pedophilic comments as long as it's a "gigaquote"?
Latest comment: 4 October12 comments7 people in discussion
Are we gonna just let the slippery slope keep going and going until these so called "ironic pedophiles" actually take a step too far that will cause cloudflare to drop soyjak.st? Or are we gonna make awareness of what's going on? TheCatalan1977 (talk) 16:52, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
We all need to band together against Salt. Honestly, he’s a terrible admin. He hasn’t done a single thing right. He’s just as inactive as Quote, too Bushy (talk) 16:58, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then let's best discuss how we fucking do it because so far the only good strategy was flooding /soy/ with hate posts until jannies decided to ban them for "metadiscussion" despite such posts never been banned before and metadiscussion still happening TheCatalan1977 (talk) 17:06, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Best we can do is set aside differences. Let's be real. This is the worst we have seen already. No sootist, quotist or frootist will be worse than Salt. No furfag, no gooner, no boorucuck. What we are seeing now is a whole unprecedented level of repulsive lust. TheCatalan1977 (talk) 17:19, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

it's weird that quote allowed this kind of demon to control the soysphere, i don't even think quote allowed him in the first place, it feels like he came out of nowhere
it's probably because of the 2026 soyjak.party hack, some guy hacked the soysphere, goes by "salt", and he's brimming this shit to be a safe space for pedophiles to stay
We need to flood the boards with Salt hate posts. Preferably Mii Salt hanging troonjaks because he hates that character. We need to drive him insane. We need to tempt him with money. But most importantly, if there's someone who is becoming popular as a potential "owner", DO NOT HESITATE to support him. TheCatalan1977 (talk) 19:38, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Me and gauntletthrown are kinda at war over {{The Cheesy Barneystar}} mainly due to the background. I think that using the default wiki barnstar background makes it boring and unoriginal, and gauntletthrown thinks that the cheese themed background I made has quite the horrible contrast. Since i'm not a NOTHERE NIGGER, I'm making this poll to sort things out.

It's easy enough. The slider is basically showing you the image reconstructed from its least-significant bits. Just move it through the different bit levels and look for anything that starts forming a recognizable pattern, image, text, shapes, etc. Most of the time it'll just look like random noise; that's normal and usually means there's nothing obvious hidden in that bit plane. If somebody actually hid another image using LSB steganography, it'll usually become noticeably structured instead of looking like pure static. You can also hit the decode text button to check for readable text embedded in the file. I do plan on eventually adding Binwalk support as well, which should make it easier to detect and extract other files/data hidden inside uploads Fenriris (talk) 16:23, 4 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

We've just added a new gadget called Convenient Discussions that enhances talk pages and this very noticeboard, and overhauls them into a modern forum layout. You can reply and edit directly on the page, see new comments pop up live without refreshing, and easily drop in emojis using the built-in emoji picker in the reply box.
I was joking, its good but with how slow the site is for me already this makes it worse for me, till salt stops pissing on the servers I'll turn it off for myself Rickert⚔21:23, 4 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest some sort of emergency admin contact for situations like these, like a form that sends messages through a Telegram bot that admins would have to set to bypass do not disturb or something, but I know that would get flooded by nusois crying wolf. You can use Special:Analytics to query information (more than what the deprecated extension reported) per page or for overall wiki stats re/ page visits, edits, etc. The old counter was not accurate for technical reasons anyway, and the data has been lost AFAIK. The only catch is analytics won't put up the counter on the page. Rickert⚔10:14, 7 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

God hates the act of faggotry, however God loves and desires to save every single human being, even if the devil may have convinced them that they're 'gay'. The act of homosexuality is an illness (like any sin), it does not define a person or change whether or not they are made in His image. So God DOES love everyone, so much so that He assumed flesh so that we might have a personal relationship with Him, be absolved of our sins and see God as a loving father who tends to our needs. Pineapple Punch (talk) 08:37, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
how can you say he hates faggotry truly? based off mythology written by some sort of followers of him with their own views? this way of thinking is borne out of fear of extinction; we always need more and more humans and queer relationships are immoral to the takers because they live outside of empty procreation
Simple. Based off of Church history, divine revelation to man and what has been passed down by the Church fathers. Even if we didn't have the Church fathers to discern this we can still infer these things based off of basic intuition. So many people argue against Protestants by saying "Well Jesus didn't explicitly condemn homosexuality!" because the western world has reduced theology and philosophy into whether or not it's in the Bible or not. We just have God-given intuition and instinct. We see a poopy asshole and a penis going inside of it and our initial reaction is "Well that's pretty disgusting and devious". Sometimes theology is as simple as emotivism, however the rational age is so afraid of being seen as emotional it doesn't dare touch it, only relying on materialism which is a flawed way of viewing the human experience. Rationailism has made us the least rational generation. Read Chesterton on this subject. Pineapple Punch (talk) 22:19, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
so church history made by man, intuition of man, and information from church fathers, aka by man
they lived in a time where no breeding=death of your civilization so of course like i said they made queer relationships immoral, and emotional thinking is flawed, it makes you jump to conclusions too quickly, we can never hope to know what god has in store for us, we just live the best version of ourselves and live by his hands
matthew 7:1-5 says "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye."
Why do you have the impression that if something was made by man it's wrong or flawed? That's practically gnostic. Also no breeding STILL equals the death of any civilization, maybe to a lesser extent since we have a larger population but that number can only get so low. Emotional reasoning is flawed however emotions themselves are not. They are complimentary to logic. Also the verses you mentioned are great within context but have no relevance to this discussion since acknowledgment of a sinful deed isn't a sin (rather, it's encouraged), it's only a sin once it becomes a form of judgement / condemnation. There's a quote from a Church elder that I like that goes "We should be so pre-occupied with our own sins that we do not even notice when our brother tresspasses against us". Pineapple Punch (talk) 22:43, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
1. its because man is flawed and imperfect by nature, we decided to take the decision of good and evil into our hands and it has condemmed us
2. you yourself are participating in judgment by basing your homophobia on emotions, you think everyone has a adverse reaction to buttfucking because you yourself have a adverse reaction to it and therefore it must be everyone, you really think because a man loves a man or a woman loves a woman means that they are banished from his kingdom? they have not killed a man, they have not participated in lust or pride (ironically) or greed or whatever, yet such a thing as simple as non-procreation is a sin? i think that verse applies perfectly, you need to reassess why you hate and why you have been told to hate ♃Stratosphere♃ (talk) 22:51, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
1. Yes, man is flawed and lacks sound judgement however there are still self-evident truths. We won't throw out all basic logic and laws of reasoning simply because we're fallen creatures. So many philosphers nowadays are literally debating whether or not cows really go moo because they've deconstructed all forms of basic reasoning out of anti-intellectualism and 'rationalism'.
2. I don't believe that everyone has an adsverse reaction to sodomy (I mean, look at the western world. If I said sodomy is gross in a bar I would be the weird one). However, I do believe that there are objective laws and customs encoded into mankind. I am in no position to say who is and isn't expelled from God's Kingdom due to my own sin and ignorance, however I do know that certain actions are vices and other things are virtues. Acknowledgment of sin is not a condemnation of those who participate in the sin. In Orthodoxy there is an undogmatic position called universalism, which is the belief that God's love and outreach to mankind is so strong that all will eventually be saved. I really hope that's the case. Pineapple Punch (talk) 23:00, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

About the whole admincaust thing? Yeah, I did not really much care for it ethier, but it is understandable why he did it. Besides, if he does do something insane, there is still Salt to slap him. From what I seen, he has been pretty involved with him. If you think about it, the true "tryant" is the owner, and always have been throughout the five other administrations we've had. Their word ultimately overrides whatever the people they appoint think. I'm just saying I wish and he be a little more open about controversial discissions like this. That's always been one of the main complaints about him Fenriris (talk) 23:10, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
salts a fuckin tyrant too, he basically took the ki and ru by force and then proceeding to do fuck all with it
He might be an asshole, but it's not like he's done nothing with the 'ru and 'ki. He shifted the 'ki's focus more toward soyjaks and the broader soysphere rather than having it mainly revolve almost entirely around the party. As for the 'ru, he changed some of the forum rules, introduced chudfagging, and anonymized the mods, among a couple other things.
He's said himself that he mainly cares about the main site, which is understandable. That's also why he left Mustard and me to handle development on our respective sites, although major changes still need his approval. You can criticize how he runs things, but I wouldn't say he's just sat around doing absolutely nothing Fenriris (talk) 23:33, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Anonymizing mods suck and make the 'sphere feel less community driven and more corporate. The 'corporate' feel to the 'sphere began during Quote's reign in my ophinion. Why is it so hard to find an admin who isn't apathetic to the very community they own? Half of the jannies in this noticeboard would suit admin better than Salt. Pineapple Punch (talk) 08:45, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
lets not act like the community wouldn't drive a not-apathetic owner to apathy by chimping out at every little change or decision, Quote himself once said "people seethe at me no matter what i do so it's stopped having an effect on me" for a valid reason Rickert⚔08:54, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I strongly disagree with removing it. Mustard already has full control over the dailyjak (which we used to have an input on). If he wants to allow frogs and gigas that's fine, but I don't think we need to remove our own featured NAS. It's not featured on any other soysphere sites, and us having a featured NAS doesn't infringe on his own ability to make things into dailyjaks. There's no good reason to strip away one of the last elements of 'ki culture, or something along those lines. --Neptune (talk) 17:09, 10 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think text templates (11 1) should have a styles page that overrides the 'a' class so that links have the color of the template, but in their place the text is underlined to indicate its a link. Otherwise it makes links within them kinda ugly (lorem ipsum kill nusois Template:Frogtext) Marsh (talk) 23:04, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
no, all links must be the same either blue or red link in articles, colored links ruin reader ability to distinguish links from regular text Rickert⚔07:08, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
That’s why links would still be underlined, and if this were standardized it’d (hopefully) be intuitive enough that nuGQDS take note quickly Marsh (talk) 07:18, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
still a no, anything that impedes with this standard is unacceptable in mainspace pages, I get why you want to do it but it ruins accessibility, the reader comes firstRickert⚔07:19, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
footers are appendices so their customization can at least be excused, inline wikitext overriding link colors is just unacceptable Rickert⚔20:57, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
deviations in a template that is before or after article content is more tolerable, in this case with footers due to all the links sharing the same color and being organized in a clearly recognizable navbox where links will be present. in a random text formatting template you slap randomly in the middle of some text, there is no guarantee if any of the words wrapped are links, and their colors are inconsistent due to override so there might be "yellow" links followed by "purple" links etc... Rickert⚔21:15, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
you can't even argue a functional excuse, like in the case of {{Booruuser}}, and letting the funny greentext aesthetics-only template do the same thing as this is going to confuse people Rickert⚔21:19, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
sorry if i sound annoying but why not just make the linked text underlined?
no its okay, I know I myself am being a hardass about a somewhat trivial matter, underlines are for when you hover a link so that won't do it, as for those I'll take a look into them when I am dealing with categorizing formatting text templates Rickert⚔22:35, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
a compromise I can think of is listing a list of allowed alternative link colors, and the templates ALWAYS use the proper variant, so from the top of my head brimtext and some yellow text template must, for links, use the same, "accessible" yellow hex color. But I really do not like the idea and think we should ALWAYS stick to blue/red-only for mainspace content links. Look into thisRickert⚔22:39, 9 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

resolve it with lolkek but I don't mind a split maintenance template(s) (so long as not excessive in count) tailored for Draft: to give it a category handler exemption as all {{Category handler}} templates are banned from categorizing the draft namespace, which is basically all of them Rickert⚔11:28, 10 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I discussed that with Cobble and we agreed its too much for this wiki's scope and Draft isn't exactly WP's draft, since there's no restrictions on content namespace page creation. that's a pity, its the best out there for enhancing the mobile experience, what was it causing? my sleep schedule is raped so I was knocked out when the changes came thru Rickert⚔03:02, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Accordian button would not collapse, images would not load, and as I said issues with complex gadgets like convient disscusions. Those are the ones that everyone saw. From what I read, it looks like it does not support monobook too well, I could not even change mobile based css or js for those users. It was also messing with cloudlfare if you switched between desktop or mobile views, so thats why I ultimately pulled it Fenriris (talk) 03:24, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Mobilefrontend is only for minerva neue, in fact they were originally required to be used together but they decoupled it some time ago. You'd have to restrict it only to minerva and set that as the default (if not only) skin on mobile. Try bringing back the skin first without the extension, maybe? mobilefrontend also has a lengthy config you can look into Rickert⚔03:56, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

The soywiki was actually made to influence people not just be a clone of wikipedia but for the soysphere, SNCA being here really ruined that. Cobblestone lied about it not being for public influence, it was, it was literally made for propoganda so people trusted the sharty more, the 'ki without the sharty is SNCA --Nigstone (talk) 02:52, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you want to complain, bring it up with the owner cause that was his idea. But tbh, I dont really know what you are on about, cause the wiki always had the neutral policity. Thats just what a wiki is, otherwise it would not be one Fenriris (talk) 03:27, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
The 'ki was made to support the sharty which is full of people who hate neturality so unless this is actually a splinter or neutral to the sharty than there is no point, by letting faggots and niggers edit and anyone else soyteens don't like we're being unfaithful to the core ideas of the sharty or being 'hostile' --Nigstone (talk) 03:34, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

that is a big task, I have my bot lined up to do a bunch of cat work so I can look into it . Coding wise it is doable, but the tree layout would have to be complete (this categorization work is still far from complete), and more importantly, it can't be altered as otherwise the bot will break instantly, so its a fragile idea. There's also the issue of automatic cats (from template or Lua) which cannot be altered by a simple link update. Rickert⚔17:17, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not a vandalfaggot, i'd rather have this site shut down than it be inherited by niggas who aren't heckin' racist in 2-3 jannies --Nigstone (talk) 18:39, 11
IT's just getting started for nusoi jannies, first they allow women out in public, than they allow SOME faggots, than they say all races can edit because of being neutralcucked, and than they add a WP:nonazis rule
If you that worried, everything will be alright. Ill make sure that it stays intergral to documenting soyjaks. Cause I agree otherwise we would just be wikipedia at that point. Soywiki was always about the soy. Again, you complined about it before, but again all we really did was expand the amount of soyjak topics we cover. We are still part of the main site after all Fenriris (talk) 21:07, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

before around 2025, the wiki was just extremely ugly and in disrepair, nobody who actually knew how a wiki worked used the site
i would say this was good but it really wasnt i was just a shartyslut and autistic i would write about shit like "soyspshere wars" and thats genuonely so dumb bro 😭
now theres nothing even interesting to write about because all soysphere events are literally just "poopfart69 and his booru dm chain are all FRIGGIN PAEDO PHILES and we """""""""REAL SOYTEENS"""""""""" are going to fight them because we're moralGAWDS! don't ask what i think about dnb doe" or "niggeradmin said he liked PORN with his capcode on! DOCTOS!" and while this did happen before and often its all propogated by people who are significantly less funny about it than the last batch of retards even the baiters themselves
after operation 9/11 everyone started to get really uptight about shit and the admins really started their great soap opera wars between eachother and it always somehow comes back to pedophilia now
most of the wiki's problems dont even stem from the wiki its just that the wiki is directly dependent on the other two sites to get most of its content and no matter how much you focus on making the wiki better or whatever the fuck those modules are for you can't fix that
the REAL problem with the wiki is the useless drama janny user infighting over snca and the quick dismissal of different opinions by both the userbase and the admin its so draining and i dont know how anyone seriously edits without somewhat feeling like a zogslave Glisterald (talk) 22:11, 16 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Autofilling source editor extension
Latest comment: 12 October17 comments5 people in discussion
Asking here in case this is an already existing plugin or something
I was thinking on developing an extension that adds autofill in the source editor when linking to a template or page, like you’d see in any IDE. I’m not sure if that already exists though Marsh (talk) 18:41, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, so it like shows a loading animation then just gives up? Sure, I can help you with this. Does it give any errors afteward? What does the console say? Fenriris (talk) 22:20, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
It isn't causing an error in the console, and I can't get it to show the loading consistently, most times it just rejects the input and does nothing. Marsh (talk) 22:25, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Actually, does the reply button happen to be grayed out by any chance? Try going to a actual talk page, and replying there. I think I might know why for you Fenriris (talk) 22:38, 11 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
I think it's because you have another input box open somewhere in the page, try looking around in it. It disables the button when it thinks you are trying to reply to someone else, but never closed the dialog Fenriris (talk) 01:59, 12 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
we should start cracking down on "detractor/supporter perspective"s
Latest comment: 12 October3 comments3 people in discussion
i think they're a line of lazy gimmicks arisen from clitty leakage, that the pages therefrom are difficult to mantain and bound to stand as mere shadows of their main articles, and that they're havens for fontspam and general molesting of the manual of style. thoughts? — Swail, 00:19, 12 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
TSMT, talk pages exist for containing clitty leakage (and failing that, obsessed splintercuck sites). Most detractor/supporter perspectives aren't even that interesting as they just mercilessly whale on/shamelessly glaze the subject and otherwise just lag behind in content due to being unnecessary separate pages. The only interesting opinion perspective pages I know of is Japan (1945 perspective). Also regarding that point about general molesting [sic] of the manual of style, yes I absolutely do believe that violating the sacred texts shouldn't be excusable just by being on a splitoff page made for clittyleaking/shilling.

there are too many categories surrounding locations/nationalities, people also create categories based on the subject's province (e.g. 6 categories on Category:German people [i think it should be named "Germany" so it can be used on other pages rather than namefags and people] linked to only 1/2 pages), i think these categories are snca and should be wiped out. but if this idea rattles @rickert's category modules or something like that then i'll leave this matter behind Rindon (talk) 04:23, 12 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
they're empty because I haven't deployed the module, I set the american one up as a layout for the rest ahead to get a sense of how it will fit, if others are making more that's not my concern. As for your idea regarding "Germany", I can't dump everything there and make it a useless fat cat. See my comments on Category talk:United StatesRickert. The trend of dumping a gorillion pages with a myriad of differing topics from different namespaces is exactly what we're trying to avoid here ⚔04:26, 12 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, this is a concept of what would be something new in the ki, Kispheres.
What IS Kispheres nusoi?
Kispheres are basically groups of editors that work together to improve the wiki.
There would be different Kispheres dedicated to different topics, tasks and areas of the ki/Soysphere. (e.g. Kisphere Raid, Kisphere MfD, Kisphere Jannies, etc.)
Usecase?
A Kisphere focuses on topic areas to improve that aforementioned area/task/topic. The Kisphere would use its Kisphere pages to discuss, create, moderate, and maintain shit.

Best method to archive SoyBooru links?
Latest comment: 14 October4 comments3 people in discussion
I'm looking for a reliable method to archive SoyBooru links. So far, it appears that only Megalodon slightly works, but it's a hit or miss and most of the time it can't reliably archive links. Other archiving services like archive.today, wayback machine, and ghostarchive do NOT work at all.
Do you have any suggestions to reliably archive SoyBooru links? –Gem 💎 (talk) 19:40, 13 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

move Draft:The Alphabet to Draft:Alphabet
Latest comment: 14 October2 comments2 people in discussion
Only jannies can move pages from the draftspace to the mainspace
A "draft submission board" page where users can nominate drafts to be moved to the mainspace and other users can discuss whether it's ready
Anyone can move a draft to the mainspace if they think it's ready, but if other users agree on its talk page that it isn't it will be moved back to the draftspace and moving will be janny-locked
I like it, but for the draft submission board, that can just be talked about in the draft articles talk page. And for the last one, there is no need to janny lock it, just move it back and make a explenation why it needs to be improved Fenriris (talk) 22:25, 14 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

I disagree, because right now it’s a mess and it has many gemmy images that can be useful in articles that need media. Besides, aren’t you the one who was working on sorting out the categories? That's snca too by that logic SoyQualityControl (talk) 09:51, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
it's not a mess, the file directory is snca and its best to keep the broken files as is so we know what broke and who uploaded it instead of it all turning to red links Rickert⚔09:55, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
because they've all been stripped from pages to avoid braps, its best to still keep them in case someone wants to ask an author about a file, it happens here and there Rickert⚔09:59, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

List of minor splinters seems kind of redundant because there’s a couple really small splinters (less than 1k posts, shut down less than a week later) that get full pages. I was thinking of moving some over to there. Also, Template:Splinter has bordiga.party as a direct splinter even though it isn’t. Also also, I was thinking of making some small navboxes to organize articles on offsiter websites like plebbit, xitter, and der ‘cord (like the ones Wikipedia puts on the top right corner of articles) idk if that’d be pointless considering they’re already being categorized by the banners Marsh (talk) 19:27, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
remember, sidebars do not render on mobile, and de-facto policy here is if it doesn't render/work on mobile it ought to be avoided or only be used as a supplement, think of sidebars as inferior in this case providing extra navigation, horizontal "footer" navboxes are still your go-to Rickert⚔20:08, 15 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
