Operation Deuteranopia was a raid against a troon browser extension called Shinigami Eyes. The goal was to cause chaos by flooding the mod queue of whoever approves blacklisting requests. Originally, the goal was to cause trannies to see -ACK inducing content by flipping the troon hostile pages and troon friendly pages, however, it was not possible.[1] This operation is named Deuteranopia because it means red-green blindness.
Shinigami Eyes[edit | edit source]
Shinigami Eyes is browser addon that highlights transphobic and trans-friendly social network pages and users with different colors. Whenever You visit a social network or a comments section, this extension will color known trans-friendly (green) and anti-trans (red) users/pages differently. There is a mechanism that tries to prevent malicious reports. The name of this extension comes from tranime.
Troonbuster[edit | edit source]
A soyteen participating in the operation created a simple program in Python that would send requests with randomized URLs to the API.
The program was named "Troonbuster" by it's creator and if the program worked properly is entirely unknown.
Version 1 would pick a random link from one of two lists, one for transphobic links and one for trans friendly links.
After finding out that manual approval is required version 2 was released. Version 2 completely randomized the URLs to flood the mod queue.
The creator promised to work on version 3 however that version was never released and the thread died shortly after.
