Redundancy

Redundancy is when someone repeats the same thing multiple times unnecessarily. Redundancy occurs when you state the same information over and over again, reiterating what has already been said without any real need. In other words, redundancy is the act of restating the same idea that has already been expressed before, as if it were being said for the first time. We could also say that redundancy is repeating again that which has already been repeated, reinforcing a message that was already clear from the beginning.
It manifests when you take a thought or a sentence that has already been said and decide to repeat what was already clear. Redundancy shows itself when the same information is presented more than once, without adding anything new. This happens when the same idea is reaffirmed in slightly different ways, but it is still exactly the same idea. In short, redundancy is saying again what has already been said, turning repetition into a way of emphasizing the obvious.
The effect of redundancy is that the sentence grows unnecessarily, taking up space and increasing in length without increasing the content. Redundancy makes the sentence bigger, longer, more extended, without any new information being added. It makes the same idea revolve around itself as if it were moving forward, but in reality it remains stuck in the same spot. In summary, redundancy stretches what has already been said, repeats what has already been repeated, and turns something simple into something excessively long for no reason.
Redundancy can happen unintentionally, when someone writes more than necessary without realizing it. It can also be intentional, when someone decides to repeat the same idea on purpose to emphasize. In other words, redundancy can be accidental or deliberate, but in both cases it repeats the same information. In the end, redundancy always returns to the original message, in different ways, always repeating what has already been said.
What Happens If You Are Redundant[edit | edit source]
If you are redundant, two things can happen: you can fail an essay or you can not fail an essay. If you do not fail an essay, that is fine. However, if you do fail an essay, two things can happen: you can lose points or you can not lose points. If you do not lose points, that is fine. However, if you do lose points, two things can happen: you can lose a few points or you can lose many points. If you lose a few points, that is fine. However, if you lose many points, two things can happen: you can pass anyway or you can not pass anyway. If you pass anyway, that is fine. However, if you do not pass anyway, two things can happen: you can repeat the year or you can not repeat the year. If you do not repeat the year, that is fine. However, if you do repeat the year, two things can happen: you can write another essay or you can not write another essay. If you do not write another essay, that is fine. However, if you do write another essay, two things can happen: you can be redundant again or you can not be redundant again. If you are not redundant again, that is fine. However, if you are redundant again, two things can happen: you can be warned about redundancy or you can not be warned about redundancy. If you are not warned about redundancy, that is fine. However, if you are warned about redundancy, two things can happen: you can stop being redundant or you can not stop being redundant. If you stop being redundant, that is fine. However, if you do not stop being redundant, two things can happen: you can continue being redundant or you can continue being redundant. If you continue being redundant, two things can happen: you can realize you are being redundant or you can not realize you are being redundant. If you do not realize you are being redundant, that is fine. However, if you do realize you are being redundant, two things can happen: you can decide to change or you can decide not to change. If you decide to change, two things can happen: you can manage to change or you can fail to change. If you fail to change, two things can happen: you can accept the redundancy or you can deny the redundancy. If you accept the redundancy, that is fine. However, if you deny the redundancy, two things can happen: you can argue that you are not redundant or you can repeat that you are not redundant. If you repeat that you are not redundant, two things can happen: you can be redundant again or you can be redundant once more. If you are redundant again, two things can happen: you can fail an essay or you can not fail an essay.
