Average modern SCP authors

The SCP Foundation is a collaborative speculative fiction phenomena about the SCP Foundation, a secretive organization that contains anomalous or supernatural items and entities away from the eyes of the public — or so it may appear. It started from 4chan's /x/ board, but eventually grew and had it's own wiki and then the game. Starting from early 2010s, SCP started to get absolutely fucking run to the ground by normies and offsiters. SCP Foundation is an example of how good things should always have some level of gatekeeping.

The Soysylum, is a soy parody of the SCP concept.

History

It started in 2007 on 4chan's /x/, as a creepypasta about SCP-173, with a creepy statue picture attached. It was carried by a couple of namefags for some days, until the general 'cuck population found SCPs to be cool so they started to make OC. Things started to grow eventually with many more creepypastas, fanarts, and other raisin that oldfag larpers obsess over. In 2008 SCP-wiki was created, which marked the separation of SCP fandom from 4chan.

Somewhere in 2012 SCP containment breach^🗝️ was created, and this time marked absolute ass-rape of SCP as concept by normies.^🔒 SCP Foundation in this time was proto-troonslop, alongside creepypasta and early-furry trandoms. Over the time it only grew larger and larger.

2020s marks the current, and the brimmiest, period in SCP history. A thrembillion amount of SCP videos by channels like Kurzgesagt exposed SCP to everybaldi on the 'net. Growing popularity of SCP collided with growing Troon/Furfag communities, which resulted in gooners obsessing over SCP-1471 and others.
