Saltism is an ideology founded by Salt, the 6th owner of soyjak.party. Followers of Saltism believe in the unbanning of gore and newfag repellant, rules against namefagging, and the relaxation of certain rules. Most proponents of Saltism are heavily opposed to Quotism and Quote himself, due to his extremely controversial choices and lackluster rule, going as far to revert some of his choices and praise Kuz. Saltism has been compared to Kuzism due to its support of free speech and gore.
Beliefs
[edit | edit source]- Minimal moderation, such as the removal of wordfilters, gore and offsite activity[except 'cords] being tolerated, especially splinters and Roblox raids
- The removal of /craft/ because "video games are for manchildren"
- Colored folx should be allowed on the Party
- Namefagging should be banned
- Dequoteification, or the removal of Quote-era jannies and bans
- Failtrolls will eventually filter themselves out by breaking rules
- Unidentifiable and anonymous janitors
- Everyone should have some form of PTSD and RPA🗝️
- Splinters are not inherently bad
How Salt moderates his sites
[edit | edit source]Salt has shown a "hands off" approach for most, if not all, his sites but is still ever present. This can be correlated to both a good🗝️ and bad🔒 thing, not only because he is a normie and has a girlfriend but also because he has shown to have a social life. Besides all of this, the intent is to quantify that Salt while showing that one of his goals is to stabilize the Soysphere; however, he can (and maybe will) make drastic changes to all of the main sites, aka Sharty Booru and 'ki, by changing the rules or changing the moderation.
The argument for newfag repellent
[edit | edit source]The typical "newfag repellent" argument applies here more than you'd think. Before Salt implemented the gore unban, hunkies on /soy/ were going through their daily routine of posting porn, but suddenly began moralfagging over the gore unban. This also involved people who weren't even on /soy/ talking about a "massive wall of gore" that was only present on /pol/ .It died down within a day, due to the spammers immediately getting tired of it because they have the attention span of a fly. They believed that this will ultimately let /soy/ thrive, as retarded trannies and hunkies leave due to small waves of often spoilered gore, and gorespammers eventually get tired of repeating the same joke over and over, resulting in the end goal of what diehard tranny haters always wanted, which was a lessened presence of faggots on /soy/.
Nevertheless, the gore spam in /soy/ has calmed down since 1 week into Salt's tenure. But still coals up the entire Sharty.
