Old 'toss

A splinter is an imageboard that’s meant not to fulfill an entirely new niche in the already-oversaturated IB market, but instead one that's meant for users of an already established imageboard (e.g. 4cuck, 8chan, and now the sharty) that is either believed to have become shittier, or is unable to be posted on anymore due to the "death" of the website (i.e. shut down).

The difference between a splinter and a bunker is that bunkers are meant to be temporary homes, while splinters usually attempt to stick around for longer, alTHOUGH this distinction isn’t always maintained very well.

Keep in mind that in cases in which former users of a once-popular imageboards decide to migrate to another relatively popular imageboard (such as when former /r9k/ posters returned to the ‘cuck after m00t re-opened the board), the site in question they migrate to is never really referred to as a splinter.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, most Sharty splinters are just glorified discord servers without the real time chat (doe this would mean the Sharty is this since it was made as a splinter for /qa/). Many Sharty splintercucks are obsessed with the Sharty o algo.

• bunker.soyjak.wiki✝ - created by Angeleno during the Soypocalypse, locked after the sharty returned. Still up but locked.
• jakparty.soy✝ - also known as the jarty and dead site, created by a hardcore Soot supporter after kuz bought the sharty; became filled with gooners due to its almost-no-rules policy. Shut down September 20, 2024. Wordfiltered to "long-dead website" on the sharty.
• Shemmy✝ - also known as as the shoally, shemal(i)e and nigger.party. Created by an enemy of FRQQT on January 22, 2024, it is ironically coal due it being more about NAS and namefagging than 'jakking. It changes owners very frequently. It was shut down a year later on January 31, 2025, but later came back on February 18, 2025 under a different domain. All links to the original domain have since been removed from the 'ki due to it briefly redirecting to a lolicon site once it was shut down.
• Shiny✝ - created by Ronald during the Soypocalypse, locked after the sharty returned.
• soychan.org✝ - once redirected to the sharty, then became a splinter before being locked a few hours later, and was finally the temporary domain for the sharty after the first great domain drop before DOLL bought soyjaks.party. Still up but locked.
• soyjaks.net✝ - the first sharty splinter ever, created by kuz on October 25, 2021. Likely redirected to the sharty/was a backup domain for it once kuz bought it from Soot.
• Swinny✝ - created on February 22, 2024 by an opponent of the shoally and DOLL; briefly served as a dox dumping ground when the latter briefly banned them from the sharty. Wordfiltered to "long-dead website" on the sharty.
• Zarty - created on September 27, 2023 as an alternative to 'zelligposting on /qa/, and is the only non-hostile board. You won't get banned for posting on here. Most 'zellig posters have since moved to it as you rarely see 'zellig on /qa/ nowadays. Despite this, out of respect, zellig is still used as a symbol of /qa/ on banners.

False Splinters

There exist some sites that present themselves as splinters but are actually screamers, such as Gapejak.party and Jak.soy. Joyjak.party was conceptualized by some xitter tranny as a Joyjak-themed splinter, but some keyed 'teen bought the domain name before xhey could and made the site a picture of a Troonjak.

There are also some sites that present themselves as splinters but are actually 'P sites. These include the █████ and the █████. Some of these were formerly documented on this very wiki, but all mentions of them have been expunged. You VVILL NOT recreate these pages or mention these sites anywhere.
