The Janny Cabal or simply the Cabal, refers to the group of people who control soyjak.party and its affiliated websites, formerly led by Froot, and then Quote. It included administrators, managers, developers, moderators, Jannies, and other individuals involved in the management of the soyjak.party family of websites. Nearly all members of this inner circle were fiercely loyal to Quote.

The Cabal was originally documented as the true administration force behind the Soysphere after Froot announced he'd be replaced by multiple anonymous administrators. However, towards the end of his ownership, just about everyone in the Cabal had some sort of namefag identity and it was pretty identifiable who was calling which shots. By the time Quote became owner, admin anonymity had virtually disappeared. Despite this, Janny Cabal remains a common name for Quote's staff team, since nearly all of them have been around since the Froot era.

History

The origins of the group predate Froot’s adminship. Sometime during the late Kuz era (spring 2023), KolymaNET’s control over the sharty was weakening. A new administration, lead by the manager Doll, filled in the power vacuum left by the Kuz administration. After the Soypocalypse, a wealthy individual known as Dr. E (Froot's alter ego) purchased the sharty, and was appointed as the head admin, while Doll became the manager and Angeleno the developer. This system was known as the Soyumvirate, and the newly created Froot administration quickly began its operations.

The Janny Cabal was officially established in late 2023, during the development of Five Nights at Cobson's, when a discord server was made by the Froot administration for the development of the game. This server and its members later became the Frootcord, which was the main way the staff communicated for a long while.

At some point in early 2026, Quote wanted his staff team to migrate to the IRC rather than using Discord. He eventually deleted that discord server, destroying janny coordination and fragmenting themselves into groups of influence trying to recover, some alligned to Quote, thinking he would finally return to discord; and others thinking all was lost and he was going to sell the site instead of shutting it down. Broot held ownership of the largest jannycord, Brootcord (notice how he named it after himself), but it was also deleted around mid 2026. Salt fired every Quote era janny and exiled them to SoyBooru, starting the Sharty-Booru split, but they would finally turn extinct after Salt took the admin account and demoted all moderators and jannies.

Members and hierarchy

Membership of the lower ranks is difficult to determine and is as of now speculation, but it is safe to assume that the majority of janitors on the Soysphere are at least involved with the cabal in one way or another. The cabal structure is split into 3 sectors, “ownership”, “moderation”, and “development”, with each sector having an appointed leader at the top.

Froot's staff team was intimately close to him, as he frequently discussed about his personal life. Quote however barely even spoke to his inner circle. Limeade and Mist, who were part of it, revealed that Quote became less communicative due to his incoming jakking fatigue and anxiety. They also claimed Ronald and Mustard were closer to him and aware of it, implying there is a certain level of trust among his goonbuddies. Quote eventually began blogposting on Soybooru, talking about his difficulty to sleep and talk to his family.
