Linecoaling

Linecoaling smells like bait.

Linecoallers, also known as lineshitters or lineggers is the name given to chuds who abuse the Unicode foreign language system plus zalgotext to spam nonsensical symbols all over the Sharty that end up covering up the layout of the website, causing very bad lag and generally making it look ugly as fuck. On July 28, 2023, linespam was patched. Linecoalling is bannable and usually higly infuriating when its used to derail interesting and gemmy threads.

The ethics of linecoal

Although some users might find it convenient to linespam on some brimstone threads, it must be reminded that this can go both ways, as some selfish little fuck can just use it to derail good threads if it contains something that xhe doesn't like, if it criticizes xher favorite troonslop or doxes xhis favorite tranny. It is much more useful to counter shitty threads by sages and natural opposition rather than being pro-linespam. There are various different ways to linespam by bots and scripts that exploit a vulnerability in the severs, methods to linecoal include image spam, zalgo text, emoji spam or trying to make the page too slow to load.

Linecoal also exists on the 'ki as a form of vandalism. However, it is very easy to spot and fix. To do this go to the page history, find revision with (+huge number) next to it and then click (undo) and "Save changes".

Soyjak.blog used to have a large amount of linespamming, covering entire threads to make them difficult to read, with notorious namefags like Hagon being famous for doing it. A famous tactic was to spam certain emotes. Eventually the blog got patched to add a 60 line limit and 1000 characters limit. Another form of spamming included posting really high resolution images to clog up the scrolling, but namefag Soygoy started complaining that people were using this to kill his shitty threads and begged the tranny jannies to implement a shitty 1920x1080 resolution limit.
