Shrek-Minion War is coal.

Cattywar that started February 27, 2025 on /soy/. There are two sides: Shrek vs Minions. It can also be considered a Dreamworks Animations vs Illumination Entertainment war, or a Shrekchan vs ~~Marty~~ war.

The war was sparked by an event on the sharty due to the Shrek 5 casting trailer being released leading to the creation of the /shrk/ board, causing retaliation from the Minion 'teens. Tensions between Shrek and Minions were already high previously.

On March 1, 2025, a Brogre supposedly infiltrated the marty (fake splinter that never existed) and supposedly catty wiped their primary board, /banana/ with images of Shrek accompanied with red text reading "GET OUT OF MAH SWAMP" despite ~~its whitelisting security measure~~ it never existing at all.^[1] The cattywipe was cleaned up shortly after it happened according to one alleged Marty user.

On March 2, 2025, Minions raided /shrk/ with the intent to cattywipe it. Although they didn't succeed in catalog wiping the board, they did steal the precious 360 (noscope) GET. The post with the GET was promptly deleted by moderators, but there was enough circumstantial evidence to make it clear that it was stolen by Minions, and this fact was corroborated by Brogres.^[2]^[3]

On April 1, 2025, the Second Shrek-Minion War took place, even doe the first one was still happening and ended later that month, outliving the second one by a lot. It used a counter at the top of the /soy/ board reminiscent of the Humans vs Zombies event from Soyoween.^[4] It was cut short when Kolyma Network took over the site.
