Second Soysurgency
The Second Soysurgency, also known as the Great Leakflood and originally known as the Second Great Soysurgency was a "war" on /soy/. It began after Limeade made a thread calling Soytan, Gigachad, Pepe and caca haters Twitter immigrants (true btw) when some nusois made a thread asking for Soytan to be banned if it reached 1000 replies, causing widespread nusoi clitty leakage and mass spam,[1] with multiple parties using Hunky Twink Sex Machine to ridicule the soyteen population. It was also a populist revolt against Limeade for wanting to turn /dem/ into his personal MLP porn dump. Eventually after the deletion of /dem/ Limeade became less active and the conflict fizzled out with soyteens resuming their normal posts.
Democratic Crisis[edit | edit source]
The conflict also included the board /dem/ turning against Limeade for rigging the board election and generally making it worse, which was seen as his fault along with the new President.
Origins[edit | edit source]

In July 2025 a new election was held following the natural end of /webm/ revivalist term. In the first round, Joe Biden got the most votes, but was forced to drop out due to the "Zartygate" scandal, endorsing Billinton in the run-off (he indirectly doomed /dem/ due to dropping out). Following this, Bill won the election, with George W. Bush as his Vice President.
The Election[edit | edit source]
Billinton secretly resigned on July 28, 2025, with Bush announcing It two days later. Bill likely expaded Bush to take over for the rest of his term, but since VP is NOT an official position, new elections were triggered. The main candidates in this election were Former President CobsonTALKS and former MP freedotPNG, and former janitor VEEN, who was however surpassed by Femquote at the last minute.
The Results[edit | edit source]
Limeade decided to allow five candidates in the run-off, instead of the usual three. 'TALKS came first, but Limeade said that, as a former president, he would have needed to obtain 50% of the vote to be re-elected, which he failed tò do; Femquote, as the runner-up, was therefore inaugurated as president
The Conflict[edit | edit source]

On August 8, 2025, Limeade admitted to rigging the current /dem/ election in favor of Femquote by abusing Gempasses from other 'teens[3], causing great controversy, especially amongst CordsonTALKS voters who felt like the election was stolen. Former MP and candidate User:You look like a bot, who supported PNG in the second round, tried to wipe the board but failed. Quote would also confirm this information and reveal Limeade's motive for rigging the election.[4] Following this, two polls were stickied:
- Femquote's Impeachment Poll (by Limeade)
- A polling asking whether the board should be deleted (by Femquote)
Both polls require a 2/3rds supermajority to pass (for example, 200 votes in favor if 300 people were to vote)

After this poll, /dem/ was nuked by Mustard and later deleted when OdessanBvll leaked /dem/ janny password on the IRC and a rogue janny deleted the deletion poll.[5]
Swinny involvement[edit | edit source]
On August 10, 2025, a 'teen discovered that the Swinny was behind some of the HTSM spam, leading to multiple threads being made calling for the wiping of the Swinny's boards.[6]
