The Sludge is an ongoing effort by a namefag on /qa/ to create the most hazardous type of liquid brimstone known to 'teen. Broadly speaking, it's a mix of industrial chemicals and waste, dead animals and liquid shit.[1] It has been compared to the Elephant's Foot.[it just was, ok?]

Properties

The Sludge is extremely yummy delish semi-liquid bio hazardous waste. The Experts™ have concluded that The Sludge may be classified as a type of Bhutanese brimstone due to some impurities, however, the smell is so vantabrown it could be categorized as Congolese brimstone or worse by the smell alone.[2] It is often referred to as a "liquid slopjak".[it just is, ok?]

History

According to the original sources, the sludge started out in a 10L plastic bucket on June 27, 2012, and expanded from there. It stood outdoors for years, as OP was adding ingredients periodically. At some point, worms appeared in The Sludge, however, they seem to have quickly died. It is theorized they were assimilated into The Sludge.[1]

It was then transferred to a large metal bucket at an unspecified date, which was then further swapped for a large plastic tub. As of 8 November, 2026, The Sludge resides in a large 150L barrel. Firecrackers such as Papatit have been detonated in The Sludge numerous times. The surface has repeatedly been set on fire using deodorant spray and a lighter, as well as mosquito spray.[1]

On an evening of June 27, Saturday, a thread was made on /qa/, documenting The Sludge and listing its ingredients. Soon after, requests for additional ingredients and experiments followed, including a stuffed crust pizza and a bottle of perfume. Soyteens also proposed to add Quote into the mix.[1]

The true motivation behind research on The Sludge is largely related to ████. Allegedly, █████ ███ ████ ██████ ██████[citation needed] It is theorized that the development of The Sludge is an arms race between ██ ██████ ███ and the 'sphere officials to obtain a theoretical type of Congolese brimstone not punishable by streety rules, and, while less potent than Niggerstone antimatter, it will be way more damaging to the 'arty because it stays just within the scope of the sharty rules while being vantabrown brimstone.[3]

If jartycucks get their hands on this brimstone, it will destroy the entire soysphere, possibly even my 0 PPH splinter no one cares about. However, if president Quote develops the brimstone first, the rules will be amended to secure the site from the threat and avoid the death of the sharty.[3]

The Sludge is a diverse ecosystem, comprised of the aforementioned chemicals, corpses and feces. The sludge has almost certainly received many additional substances over the years that have simply been forgotten because adding bizarre materials became routine. Below is a non-exhaustive list to make your own[1]:

  • Car coolant, gasoline, sauna bench cleaner, crushed firelighter cubes, windshield washer fluid, lighter fluid, paint, tar, drill oil, diesel engine oil, motor oils, chain oil, gun oil, turpentine (2 types), bleach, drain cleaner, vinegar, baking soda, baking powder, fertilizer, soap, pine soap, cleaning foam, perfume, deodorant, mosquito repellent, hair dye, nail polish, nail polish remover, puzzle glue, styrofoam, undercoating, unidentified liquids/materials, lock de-icer, cat repellent, "Car Cry" fluid.
  • Medications including Panadol Forte, ibuprofen, hydrocortisone, Promethazine, prescription codeine, Amorion, Candesartan, migraine medication, anti-inflammatory painkillers, anti-diarrheal and anti-dizziness medicine, Bepanthen, moisturizing creams/serum, Vydura, Myrthin, Strepsils, nicotine pouches, snus, LM Blue cigarette.

  • A contribution from two military roommates containing moldy water, food scraps, medicines, hygiene products, cosmetics, shoe polish, sprays, vitamins, powders, tobacco products, and another full strainer of slugs and worms. Military rations including Pasta Carbonara, curry rice, mashed potatoes, and two outdoor tikka masala meals.
