Soot Quest is a gemerald.
Soot Quest, Caca.exe or Baby.exe is a sovful game made by the loving Soot Fan Club (SFC) community. It offers five hours of spine tingling bone chilling A24-esque gameplay.[1] It also has it's own fan made wiki.[2] The game was developed by a team of three Soot fans for the sheer dedication towards the Soot community.

Soot Quest delivers a traditional turn-based RPG experience, with an emphasis on exploration, combat, character growth, and an engaging narrative. The game employs a top-down perspective, guiding the protagonist, Soot, through diverse environments such as towns, forests, and caves. Interaction with non-playable characters (NPCs) is essential for obtaining quests, purchasing items, and advancing the storyline.
Combat in Soot Quest follows a turn-based battle system, initiated through random encounters or scripted events. Players can choose from various battle options: "Post" for basic attacks, "Folder" for special abilities consuming Skill Points (SP) or Technical Points (TP), "Catalog" for using consumable items like Soylent for healing, "Cope" for damage reduction, and "Quit" for escaping battles. As characters level up, they gain new skills, including offensive, defensive, and supportive abilities, which require SP or TP accrued during fights.
The game emphasizes character progression through experience points (XP) and gem collection from defeated enemies. XP is essential for leveling up, enhancing character stats, and unlocking new skills. Players must often engage in grinding—repeated battles to strengthen their party for tougher challenges. The game also features a robust item system, offering various restorative items, equipment upgrades, and status effect remedies, crucial for maintaining an effective party. Players can purchase items at shops by spending their gems.
The party system in Soot Quest allows players to recruit and manage up to four characters, each with unique skills and roles, enabling diverse strategic combinations. Players can switch party members, customize abilities, and equip different gear to adapt to various combat scenarios. The game’s dialogue system enhances the narrative, with interactions presented in text boxes accompanied by character portraits. Players can save their progress through the in-game archive system, providing the flexibility to experiment and retry challenging sections without significant loss of progress.

Soot Quest takes place in the Soysphere, a sprawling, chaotic landscape teeming with diverse splinters, each boasting their own history and identity. Splinters such as the Cordians, Jartyville, and Foodists are locked in a relentless struggle for influence and supremacy. Amidst this chaos, the enigmatic ruler Soot reigned over the Shartion Kingdom, a land predominantly inhabited by bald, white, mouth-gaping, stubbled, bespectacled men.
At the heart of the Shartion Kingdom stood a glistening Gemerald, perched atop a stone pillar, serving as the source of the Soysphere's peace and balance. But everything changed once the nefarious Foodist Nation launched a devastating assault upon the Soysphere. Driven by dark ambitions, the Foodists aimed to plunge the kingdom into eternal darkness and ultimately seize control of the entire Soysphere. They wreak havoc, ransacking Shartion homes, defiling streets with coal, and worst of all, stealing the sacred Gemerald.
With the balance of the Soysphere at stake, Soot must rally his allies, Nate and Chud, to dismantle the kingdom's adversaries. Each splinter presented their own formidable challenges, but the ultimate goal is clear: to defeat Foodist leader Foodistzen, reclaim the Gemerald, and achieve total Shartion victory once and for all.

Memory: Minimum 700MB of RAM
OS: Linux, Mac, Windows 7 or Higher (NOTE: The game had been originally developed on Linux then ported over to Windows which is causing the game to be flagged as a FALSE virus, you will need to temporarily disable Real Time Protection in order to play the game. We apologize for this inconvince, The devs are aware of this issue and are hard at work on the next patch of the game to fix it)
Graphics: Any graphics card as it is very lightweight game
Storage: 500MB of available space
