Negrobump

A negrobump is an excessive form of bumping, in which the poster (usually OP) keeps bumping the thread to Page 1, even if the thread is dead and ignored by everyone. Negrobumping is as simple as spamming "bump" or "bumo" everyday to artificially promote a dead thread thats older than an hour, without adding anything to the discussion. This type of bumping has previously been a bannable offense on the sharty, but now it's been BTFO'd by the anti-negrobump system.
No one knows what kind of people even do it, but it's speculated to be 'cord niggers and shitter refugees.
In raiding[edit | edit source]
Main article: Failraid#Preventing a failraid

Negrobumping is one of the main features of a failraid. If a raid has lost steam, or never caught on in the first place, OP may start trying to save the raid, which in most cases is a futile effort. Negrobumping only repels more people away from their raids by clearly marking it as a failraid in which OP has no interest contributing to. If you see a raid thread filled with "bvmp" and "get in", you can be assured it's a total failraid.
Facts[edit | edit source]
- In theory it's possible to negrobump the 'ru, since 'jaks get shown on the most recent comments, but thankfully this practise is only ever seen in the 'arty.
- This practise is so toxic it
allegedlysinglehandledly killed /raid/. - It's similar to necroposting, the act of replying to a thread thats older than a year, although imageboard threads usually get slid by that time so this is referring to forums.
